Most people that want the ONE gram a WATT results will put as many plants under a 1000w light on a 5x5 table and do a sea of green.

Above you see 18 under 2000. I have ran it with and without a mover and wanted you to know yes it can be done. As a matter of fact no matter what anybody tells you, with a little planning and a whole lot of work damn near ANYTHING is possible.

just my humble opinion but your problem isnt going to be with how many plants you run. u can do one, you can do 12 (thats the most i would do in 5gals containers because of the light coverage and space the pots take up) or you can do more and just use smaller pots. you're problems will be

1) using a corner of a room with no enclosed grow area... is this a bedroom cuz ou are looking at light leak issues. i know your on a budget but then not make 2 more walls with some wood and plastic or a tarp? thats your best bet. if not it only takes a few mess ups to ruin all your work by opening the door during lights off a few times.

2) if you are doing this from seed, a 1000w will burn the hell out of those seedings fast. you need good ventilation to keep the temps low and keep the light high, 4-5 ft or so at first.

do you have odor control? expensive but necessary. u can alway DIY

just trying to help out.

i would try some thing simple

I would consider using a vertical setup. You should be able to get 10 plants around it pretty effectively. i would also consider dropping the 5 gallon for 3 gallon. Unless your vegging for 60+ days 5 gallon is over kill.

I would pick the most vigorous 6 or 8 to let bush out and produce well. instead of 10, less bushy more cramped plants in the same size containers. Or 20 in 2 gallon pots if time is of concern to you. It comes down to how long you want to veg to get the result you want. if you want a pound out of your thousand watt then your gonna have to let those 20 veg less time then you would 10 or however many. It comes down to how long you want to veg and how many plants you can have in your garden.
