There should be manufacturer directions. I would follow those. There may also be a website with feeding schedules.

Hey Whodi

I'm not really sure how it works for GH. But for H & G I read that you mix the A & B and then PH. Afterwards I add all the other additives depending on what week of flowering or veg I'm in. I resist the urge to ph after adding the additives, but so far it seems to have worked fine.

So I would recommend the same. Add the Micro and Bloom, PH if necessary and then add all the additives.

Just my 2 Cents.

This is an important and often overlooked issue.

ya thats what i was thinking but wasn't sure with the silica blast and SM-90.. thought i read somewhere that it's best to add silica before anything... dunno if thats misinformation.

Its true. You're supposed to mix in silica before anything.
Then base nutrients by manufacturers directions
Then everything else by directions supplements/additives
Then calmag
Here is your last accurate ppm reading
Then any organic stuff you might be adding

Then ph

And to further add to the confusion... you're supposed to add cal/mag to your water first, then go from their. I don't use anything but GH micro and GH bloom but you always mix the micro first. Don't know about any of those other additives.

nice link, Gs

i'm thinking:

calmag+, silica, micro, bloom, kool bloom, sm-90, cannazym

However, once i mix micro, bloom, kool bloom.. that lowers my pH a good bit, so if i add silica last, it might raise my pH to normal levels since it's a higher pH additive. And if it doesn't well it says in the link Gs skull added, that you should be fine as long as you adjsut the pH quickly after adding it.

I've been using micro and bloom only for a while but I'd like to start adding more additives such as these.

I think you've got it. I use GH (3 pt and diamond nectar).
If starting with pure RO (0 ppms) always fortify with calmag first. Dont adjust your ph until your finished with entire recipe. It doesn't really matter which order you build as far as ph. It is just math, each product has a ph and ppm, the higher the ppm the more it will effect the ph. If you want to know your product just mix a tsp in a gal of pure RO and record ph and ppm. Then when you are building your recipe you know what to expect at you add each product.

I would bring it close to correct ph (up but not all the way) then add your cannazym last. Then add your finishing up adj.

I assumed you are growing hydro.

I will give you my mix order but first let me explain something. I started growing with RO because my city water is 700 ppm and 7.1 ph out of the tap. With pure RO water I had buffering (ph) problems, ph swings. It depends on your weekly recipe and the strength of the buffer in each product that determines when your ph will change (buffer used up). What fixed my problems was a little tap water.

When building a recipe always fortify your water first.
Then add your additives.
Then your base ferts (i consider gh a 4 part I always use nectar) until you reach your ppm goal.
I also make sure to heat my water to 70 degrees while mixing so it is ready to dump into systems.

oops! you don't want to hit the tab key lol

peak flowering week - I am mixing to 1300 ppm

product ppms tot ppms
RO water 0 0
tap water 60 60 this a great ph up and strong buffer holds ph
calmag 190 250
big bud 250 510
bud candy 40 550
nectar 20 570
micro 360 930 looking for a total of 730 ppms
grow 125 1055 in 3 parts equal to 1300 ppms total
bloom 245 1300
hygozyme 0 1300
ph

PPM's per GALLON

CalMag 200
B1 10
Diamond Nectar 10
Bud Blood 200
Bud Ignighter 65
Bud Candy 20
Big Bud - dry 330
Kool Bloom - dry 150
Flora Grow 200
Flora Micro 290
Flora Bloom 130
Root Excelerator 0
Hygozyme 0

1 tsp p/gal of nutes

Water 7.7 oz p/gal (tap to RO) 50 only my shitty tap water

In finishing let me say always use less than the label know what ppm you want and look for that not the label. I use about 50-75 percent of the recommended amounts to get the ppms i am looking for. and 1300 ppms works for me my afghans but that is my limit. I have a totally controlled rooms and keep my temp 82-83 days, 70-75 nights, humidity 55%, and CO2 1400-1600 ppms. And big f n lights, suckin my power meter into a tizzy.

Good luck with the grows. And sorry about the multipul posts.

Time to go smoke a bowl,
Dr. Burnbud
