Hey guys, ive got a few bagseed grows under my belt now and ive always noticed that when i grow from seed my best plants always turn out to be males. Then the shittier, slower ones turn out to be females. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know why this happens?

Bad genetic selection for polenization, soil not good or better say ph too acid or stress for the plants...

males grow faster

you need to change your perspective on what "shittier and slower" growth is.

Hmm i dont know but I've noticed the same thing, I just ran 21 seeds 10 ended up being males. Even after i sexed them I left them in way too small pots, neglected them, let them get bone dry, the males were still thriving. Even in 4" pots the males still grew to be beautiful 16" bushy plants, go figure.

males grow faster, to get taller than the females so they can spread pollen more efficiently across the crop

male vigor is not a bad trait just not the one you need when growing sensi

i think ureapwhatusow hit it right. the males always grow faster and mature sooner than the females see. the males will be waiting on the females to pollenate them about two weeks or more ahead of them. so they will be taller and seem stronger at first the females are building up nutrent reserves for there longer journy in life they also live longer as a male expends all its avalabe sources to reach maturity first and then pollanate the females sex pistols. just cause the plants are not budding yet doest mean they cant be pollanted.

and you will find over time that 50% of your seeds will be male and the same female. Out of 10 seeds I have gotten as few as 2 girls and as many as 8. Average that together and you get 5. Half, that's the way of the plant. :smokeit:

very true hank hemp.the deal with this is a good female can bear thousands of seeds.to ensure the plants species survival. the simple fact is more males equals the ensurance of pollanation.
