The Health Care bill does nothing but Legislate the future profits of the Drug and Insurance companies by making it required by law that we all purchase health insurance. If we don't we'll have to pay a fee based on an average income scale which you may or may not even fall into.

The United States version of "universal health care"; simply making it required by law that you pay for insurance or you get penalized with a steep fine or possibly go to jail.

I'm a firm believer that the industrial uses (profits) for hemp far outweigh the medical uses. Obviously there is a grand scheme to destroy the earth's MOST precious natural resource.

I feel we became a 2 branch goverment awhile ago. Congress and the presidency. It seems the judical branch lost its sence of purpose. It started with the new deal and now "the new new deal" is making it worse. The new deal was a massive goverment expansion that the supreme court would not let pass until it was extorted by the president FDR and the congress at the time. They told the supreme court that if it ruled against them they would pack on more judges to the bench until it was ruled constitutional. (something like from 9 to 13)

Ever since then congress has been chipping away at the freedoms this gov't was founded on and the supreme court is happy to go along.

Like a lot of people, rumor and innuendo are made to be facts through repetition.
Just look at Sarah Palin and how many of her outrageous statements have been taken as fact.
Death Panels wanting to kill her baby because it isn't a productive member of society.
Barack Obama pals around with terrorists simply because he sat on the same board as someone, never mind all the high ranking Republicans who also sat on the board alongside him.
Let's not forget the Presidents birth certificate and the myth surrounding that, perpetrated by detractors.

I don't mind political debates on policy but, they need to be based on FACTS and, not rhetoric, rumor and, LIES.

I am not familiar with American law as I am Canadian, but for us one of the primary jobs of a Supreme Court is interpretation of law, and to strike down unjust laws (or laws that are not enforcible, have too many loop holes/flaws).

LETS START WITH SOME F*CKING QUESTIONS!!! ON WHAT BASIS ARE DRUGS ILLEGAL? Lets go to the beginning of that tap root. If there is an argument for harm, ITS YOUR OWN BODY! Has anyone watched the movie JAckass? CKY2K? I think they did more harm to their bodies than the avg drug user will. What did they get for harming themselves? Fame and fortune (thanks to an enjoyable product). How can a government tell me what I can or cannot do with MY BODY?!?!

Seriously, this is the first I have thought about WHY are drugs illegal? What is the basis? The punishments are the real damage done, and the TRUE crime. Does it protect society against addicts who look to feed their habit by any means nescicary? DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW HOW MUCH Cocaine you can buy in South American Countries for $20? Drugs are not exspensive. Just the illegal ones.

If no one has a VALID REASON as to why drugs should be illegal this should be sufficient reason to abolish anti-drug laws. NAY THIS IS REASON ENOUGH!!!

I have just really had a funny thought about cannabis being illegal and thought well what does it do?
Okay Euphoria,Dry mouth ,Dry eyes,Hunger,Anxiety,Drowsiness, If you smoke it add irritation of the lungs that to date the smoke from cannabis has not been proven to cause any major lung disease that I have found,Itrospective thinking and a trend towards philosophical train of thought.

So lets see alcohol causes Euphoria,Drowsiness,liver disease,addiction,uncontrollable emotional outburst,tendency towards violence,kidney damage,kills brain cells and I belive the list goes on a bit but ill leave it there.
Tobacco Releases tension(hrmm maybe light euphoria?)highly addictive,causes cancer and other forms of major lung disease,stains teeth,causes bronchitis.and makes uses susceptible to other minor respritory disease.
So between smoking and drinking you have almost all the same effects as cannabis alot more dangerous side effects and the 2 main differences Itrospective thinking and thoughts tending towards philisophical thinking.
It seems to me the real problem the govt has with cannabis is they dont want us to think?
So they keep making harsher and harsher laws never considering that the countries who kill drug dealers and cultivators havent reduced the number any everytime one dies another takes his place bribing the proper officials until such time as someone else takes him out. Our own govt isnt about to put the death penalty on pot and if they did it wouldnt stop anything. Maybe if they did and the people of North America saw that there was no reduction in drug trade even if they put mandatory death sentance there will still be dealers and growers. And we know in a country like our own there will be no way they will get the death penalty for pot.

And after everything that they have tried in over 70 years you would think they might want to smoke some pot so they can start using there minds and maybe come up with a reasonable argument to make it illegal. The only one I would accept is them making tobacco and alcohol illegal again untill that day I will fight for cannabis legalization.
