I was thinking what type of tree is preferred nowadays.
I know that the tradition is to have a natural one, but some of us may prefer artificial ones or o natural one in a pot.

:xmastree: Merry Christams and Happy Holidays!!! :xmastree:

:thanks:

Forgot to add that I use a tree in a pot, that I plant in my garden after Christmas.

I love the freshly cut trees, but they are a pain in the ass and a fire hazard. On top of that, the green movement makes me feel guilty about having a fresh cut tree so we have had this nice artificial one for the past few years.

My crappy camera doesn't like the lights it would seem...

Honestly, if I didnt have a son I wouldnt do any of it but I go with my artificial tree that has the lights prewired into it. Its the most convenient option and looks nice. But I feel like quite a hypocrite with all the festivities and I definitely do not consider myself a christian. But for my kid, I'll do it.

Real tree, the smell is great. Bad thing is the leaves and branches never seem to fall as much as I'd like them to.

Cutting down trees from tree farms isn't a negative. It encourages the tree farmers to plant more trees to keep their stock levels up so they can sell more.

Cut tree, going shopping for one in the cold and snow, tying it to the car, dragging it in and trying to get it to stand right in the crappy Kmart tree stand, that's part of Christmas!

Have to go with FAKE tree.

I have a beautiful 9 foot Christmas tree at my place, it comes in a huge box, and it's a 3-part tree. Bottom, middle, then top.

From the center of it, to the outside leaves it comes out about 3 feet so its a big tree. But with all the christmas lights, ornaments, (Christmas presents at the bottom to cover the metal stand) you just look at it in amazement. Plus I spent like $1,000 on lighting and ornaments so OF COURSE it's going to look nice, but once its served its purpose, I take off the lights (counter clock-wise), put the ornaments away, and place the three-part back in the box.

It is a beautiful tree and easy to maintain.

I voted for artificial.... solely based on convenience. The potted tree would be my choice... were I able to have a real tree. (Not having to clean up so many pine needles is fabulous)

I used to really dislike artificial trees, but times change. They're only a symbol for a really confused festival time of year anyway. :D

Stay Safe! :tree: :xmasnut:
