DAY 22: Begin Week 4!!!

Fed everyone with 1 tsp/gal Humax to try and bump the pH down to 6.5-6.8... they all seem at least about 6.8... also realized i was drastically underfeeding them, as per the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Soil schedule, which recommends a whopping 1oz/gal, whereas previously i was giving them just 1/4 oz/gal... so i gave them all the full nute dose, as well as the full 1/2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm's Beastie Bloomz. They look great as it stands: starting to sprout trichs and smelling delicious... but feeding them the full dose of nutes should help

Day 24:
I noticed the bottom leaves were almost in the dark and were starting to drop off a lot... so i moved the t5s down to supplement the lower branches... everything is lit up like Christmas now...

Thanks man! I looked at your round 2 pics @ 21 or so days and our bud-structures looked comparable... starting to get actual colas forming now... this LED is blowing my mind! So awesome... we'll see at the final result but this is certainly exceeding my expectations... i've never had plants look so good @ 3.5 weeks... and they smell deeeeLICious! I turned off the fan/filter for an hour this morning while my landlord cam over to fix the plumbing, and although i had a 75CFM Air Reactor Mighty Mite ( http://www.airreactor.com/prod_mightymite.htm ) going in the tent the whole time, the room smelled faintly dank after about an hour!

Whats your impression so far? Please save your time, I know the light does not compete with a 1000w HPS but for the amount of power used and low low heat transmission, are you satisfied so far? I think you will say yes because from my end things look really good.

These lights are exceeding my expectations in terms of growth... i never had buds this nice at four weeks before using HPS. but then, i've always hated HPS, especially all the excess baggage that comes with them... and besides, i could never yield shit with them anyway (i never used air cooled lights though, either).

I hope to yield a pound with my 318w LED and supplements... we shall see.

They are looking great! How long have you been growing with HPS. I thought you were a card carrying 215 patient grower from Northern CA. How could you never yield shit with HPS and carry 215 patients? Im from MI. Is your growing season that long?

Outdoor season is from May-October... i do great with outdoor... i haven't had great results inside though, even with all the community support (i seriously do not like HPS lights). This may change for me at this point, however, with the LED. The tent is the SUN HUT XL 4x4x7'.

For whatever reason it seems I am not able to send a PM yet. In my main bloom area I ran into the same problem with my tent. I had to build a support structure to support the lights. I ordered the fittings from

then picked up some electrical conduit from home depot and cut them to size. You could make a whole tent support structure from these fittings if you wanted too.

Day 29: Begin Week 5

trimmed up some of the gigantic fan leaves so the buds underneath could develop (top colas are sporting buds as big as my thumb!)... four more weeks to go til i harvest these babies! I can't even begin to gauge the yield, but i'm guessing they'll get about 2x as big as they are now... hoping for 2 ounces per plant!!

Day 31: Going home for Christmas for 4 days... thought i'd snap some pics before i go... gave everyone full nute dose and some more nematodes yesterday, should be good through next monday. can't wait to see how they've grown when i come back!

Hey superchron, what are your canopy temps like? I read a recent post by LED girl that 85 or even 90 degrees would make the plants happy with leds. This was something that I had never read before, thought I'd mention it in case it makes your girls even more happy.
