1st Time 1000w Basement Grow

Hi guys, just upgraded from 250w to 1000w HPS. Got the 1000 watter the other day and came up with this little setup what do you guys think?

All the pepsi bottles were grown from seed, Im sexing them 12/12 when they show sex ill transplant the females and put them in my veg chamber in my bedroom closet under 250w hps for 30 days or so. The soil is just regular miracle grow potting soil with 1/4 perlite added. Says it feeds for 4 months, a small percentage of it is reused from my last 250w grow. Any wetness that is seen is because I just watered all the plants next to the drain and let the runoff run into it.

Any tips, comments, criticism is appreciated

Having never done a grow of my own, I can't advise you on technical details, but I can say I'm jealous that you have such a cool space to grow in! Awesome!

Is odor going to be an issue for you? If so, how will you deal with it?

Lets start with the first thing I noticed. I would get rid of the last pic...you know the one with the woman that you can plainly see having a snack. I would not want my pic on the site IMHO> Peace

Also in the pic with the windows and the shelves move those shelves, get some mylar or space blankets and move your plants to that corner. Your light will be waayy more effective if you surround your area with shiny. You are on your way to great things. bud.

Please, please cover those windows, please. Sorry didn't see your next post, get those temps up. 50' is way to low ok? At least 10 with 15' better. Mid 60' is what you want and right now.

Guys thanks for the advice about the windows. I live on a mountain the next house is half a mile away. My house is COMPLETELY surrounded by woods. Plus the lights go off at night. I still do plan on covering them anyway. I eventually plan on building a room around my setup with mylar on the walls and building a similar seperate veg room next to it. I have an entire basement the size of my house at my disposal, just need the money, lights, clones to fill it.

You might want to cut into the ducting for some heat or get a space heater.

Did you check the batteries in the smoke alarm?

hey bro ,as Hank stated you really do need to get the temp up. I am not sure how you heat your house. I do not see any heating duct work at the floor joists in your basement. If you have a hydronic boiler it would be inexpensive to channel some hot water to your grow area. If you have forced air furnace....is it in the basement??? If it is and It's not in the pic where I can see it it would be very easy to get some heat in your area. Heat and elec is my profession. If you need any help I am here for ya bro.Just ask.
