I'm 5'8" at 185 pounds and 33 inch waist and not overweight at all.
But government says that I am probably..Which is like skinny people's weight. And one or 2 meals a day too.
Pot smoking I think slows the metabolism down or it could be age.
4 minute miles as a runner really kicks the metabolism in at 122 pounds. And about 25 miles a week.I then went to lifting weights which is my passion before distance running and went up to 195 without smoking.
When i don't get high..i don't eat or maybe bite an apple or banana so it makes up when i do get high I eat a little more.
i dont think marijuana makes you fat, your in comtrol of everything you eat its not like you cant control it and i know pleanty of ppl who lose weight when smoking not gain any
My Doctor told me to drink a few beers a day and to eat ice cream on top of my normal diet. So I am at half a pint of Ben and Jerrys and 2 Sierra Nevada Pale ales every night. I would love to gain about 10 lbs.
I actually lost about 65 pounds when I first started smoking marijuana. Over the course of like a year and a half if not two years. I wasn't really trying, but it was my state of mind. More water, and no more fast food; all fresh meals I prepared myself. Now I gained back about 30 pounds of that in the last year lol..
Hopefully with some exercise it will go back down about 20 or so and I'll be happy. I was technically underweight after I lost the 65 pounds.
Now I have the right weight, but I had a winter couple of years ago when I got 15 kg only by savouring lots of munchies every night. Now I don't even think about munchies, and I never eat when I am high. If I'm hungry, I eat before I smoke.
I gained weight over the last 5 years and I play basketball (during the spring and summer we play 3 times a week) and I still can't shake the fat.
I feel like when I smoke, (even though I love it) that it still sticks to my cheeks and face. My body feels flabby and if I eat it's just going to stick somewhere. If I combined lifting weights, a good diet and basketball (running) I'm sure I could get to where I want to be but I know it's made a difference for my body.
Everyone is different. But hey, we all need to point the finger at something right! Its never OUR fault - LOL -
THE WEED MADE ME FAT!!
5'10 and 205. Theoretically well overweight. Less you actually measure bodyfat and find out that is at 12% fat. I occasionally drop down to 9% so my abs show but my performance always suffers when I go that low. And 53 years old.
Quit blaming pot and get a better diet (i highly recommend Paleo) then get into the gym and do some strength training (i highly recommend Starting Strength) and when you get fairly strong throw in a metcon a week or so.
Avoid hyped supplements. Vitamin D3, fish oil and methylated minerals, however, are most excellent things.
I used to eat fast food all of the time and drink nothing but soda, but a couple years ago I decided to completely kick the caffeine and carbonated beverages. I also quit eating fast food for a long while. I have since started eating fast food from time to time but with regard to healthiness as best as possible. Anyway... I am 6'3" and weigh about 170 lbs. I have been at this weight for the last few years. I used to weigh about 10 lbs less, but thankfully I filled out a bit in my early twenties. I have smoked consistently through all of the changes in my diet, exercise, etc. etc. but the only difference I have noticed is in how I felt. When I ate like shit, my IBS would flare up regularly and I had low energy. When I ate well, my stomach kept in check and I had a great level of energy. Diet, exercise, and genetics are the keys to weight and wellness. Weed does not cause people to gain weight.
