im wondering how you can make hash oil...wat ive heard is tha you can dip your bud in this oil and it drys onto your bud...
and i heard its really good too!!?

Despite that, I will say that whom ever told you that you "dip your bud in this oil and it drys onto your bud" is retarded.

You are partially right, you will need to use a substance that THC will form a solution with. THC is non-polar so it does not form a solution with water in any practical way. That is why you need fats, oils, or alcohol to form a solution, all of which THC is soluble in.

You could use several methods depending upon how you plan to use it. Though, none of them include leaving the solution to dry on the bud, for that would completely defeat the purpose. The point of hash, hash oil, edibles, or even chemically extracting the THC into a liquid, is to remove the need for smoking unwanted plant material (which does not get you high) and purify the substance into a higher concentration of cannabinoids. That is the same reason vaporizers exist.

If I were a mod I would have this thread closed and/or binned, though since I lack that power I suggest you find your answers elsewhere. Though before you ask anymore unnecessary questions first ask yourself, what do you want. Are you looking for a solution to be used for cooking, are you looking for a solid (hash) that can be put straight into a bowl/joint/vape, or do you want a liquid that you can use in the previously stated manner for inhalation?

I informed you that you were posting in the wrong forum and gave you enough information to find the answer you were looking for on your own as well as explained the principal behind what you wished to accomplish.

You may be stumbling over the word hash oil relative to this forum and drawing flack because your post is adjacent to your answer.

Translate the word hash oil to BHO and check out BHO for dummies and related threads, as well as QWISO extractions.

Dr Atomics Marijuana Multiplier by Larry Todd, discusses soaking bud with an ethanol extacted hash oil, but I don't know anyone who actually does.

Besides making a sticky mess to handle, it melts and runs when you light it, and there are better more effective ways to use hash oil. There are also threads on this site on how to use BHO and QWISO which you might check out.

Use liquid CO2 ...professional results with no known bad side effects. Stop using butane! That smelly butane smell additive shit has to have bad side effects IMHO...remember - it is made/canned by big oil. And CO2 won't blow up the house like those dumb asses in Co. did recently.Just build the butane rig but use CO2 instead of butane. Some CO2 bottles have the liquid tube inside (paintball, etc.) and some have to be inverted (gas/grow bottles). Accordingly to a local gas supply company, the grow bottles can just be inverted and used with the gas regulator. Never tried it so I cannot vouch for this. I just know this is a scientific proven method of extracting oils from herbs...in my mind, this is the only way as it pulls the oils out and adds no poisons to the oil. Just let it vapor off in a Pyrex container (small coffee pot carafe' ?)and smoke up. It can be warmed to pourable consistency for bottling in glass vials - likely the brown ones would be best for potency. It costs $9 US to fill a 20# bottle locally.Likely will do many, many extractions. The neighbors will not complain about the odor either!

Hash oil is very strong so use VERY sparingly! A thin line down a joint is a good place to start. And only smoke a toke off the joint to start with! I saw a friend once take an oil hit off a bong and he got couch locked for hours until he ran to the bathroom and puked....use caution as with any concentrated drug. Scared the crap out of him too! It take 20 minutes or so to get the effect sometimes so be patient also. Good luck and be careful. Eye/hand protection is required! As is adequate ventilation.

You have been led astray on the CO2 extraction information Greasehorse.

It is more complicated than that and I suggest that you research further before passing it on as gospel.

You can actually coat a small bud with bho, while the butane is bubbling off, but it is not a safe thing to do. A fraction of a second dip, on a very dry small bud works, but a fraction too long and your resin dissolves. This is not something for beginners to try. the buds are called glitter buds.

you put your shit in it, then run through loads of butane

the outcome was some pure yellow hash oil

it only did small quantities at a time, but well worth it

i lent it to a friend, and havent seen it since. probably a good thing, as i thought i was tripping out
