A lot of people here use the more expensive brands you buy at the hydro store, but I use Greenlight. It works extremely well for me, so I don't see any reason to change. About flavoring your bud, that's never been proven to me. It doesn't make much sense as a theory because the oil breaks down pretty fast. Besides, the greenlight has a kind of citrus-ey smell. I'd be worried that you couldn't distinguish it accurately from naturally occurring tastes in the bud. That being said, I still never spray buds at any point with anything.

Spider mites are very hard to control once they build up a big population, but relatively easy to keep under control at a lower level. One of the keys of using neem oil (or soap or pyrethrins) is to soak the underside of the leaf. If the population is already large, you may have to wet the topsides too, but if the tops can be avoided the plants will be able to transpire easier after treatment. By keeping the battle concentrated on the undersides of fan leaves, the population can be kept down to a managable level through flowering.

I kill everything by soaking a cigarette in a quart sprayer and then having at the plants. I rarely have problems with pests (thanks be to Shiva and the other grow gods), but when I do I have three tobacco smokers in the house and that means there is a ready supply for me that costs nothing but does the j.o.b.

I hope you kill the little bastards and they never bother you again.

I have used the one that medi posted and had good sucess, but becareful, i had a skunk #1 that wilted up and died after i sprayed it. all my other girls did just fine.

For bad mite problems, you could also go to the extreme, and dunk them. I had to do this once. i just added the greenlight neem to about 4gal of water at recommened dose, slightly less, and a lil dish soap, and dunked the entire plant then shook them off genlty. I did this about twice a week for 2 weeks and completely wiped them out. if the plants werent attacked too bad i only sprayed instead of dunked. Hope you get rid of those SOB's, they're a pain in the ass.

My SkunkMix has taken the beating...some of the 'trim' leaf has curled and there is some residue.
Did you spray rinse the solution off? I did, but I think I could have been more thorough.
As my buds are just starting to show signs of colour on the pistils, I am concerned about mold!.
So I had a 40cm oscillating fan over the canopy for 20 hrs to dry them off.

I have by no means beaten them....I still have undercanopy to clear and then another treatment in a day or 2...

This stuff works well.
I cannot dunk my plant because the canopy is 20cmX120cmX 15-20cm deep!

Medi-I let the plants sit for about 10-15 minutes before spraying them down with plain water. I made sure to drench them with water very well. The skunk plant was also probably the most infested with mites, not sure if that had an affect of why the plant wilted so badly after spraying. After spraying and rinising i put them in the dark with 2 fans helping to dry them off.

I was not too worried about mold, i live in desert area, and have low humidy and dont have to worry much about mold, i've never had a problem.

also trimming off as many lower and infected leaves will help cut down on some of the mite population.

I've never had any problems using neem later into flowering, just be sure to rinse the plant well.

best of luck with getting it under control. Hope im not rambling too much, im a lil intoxicated. stay safe and stay high! :joint:
