Avatar in IMAX 3D!!!

It looks awesome but fuck man I don't think I could sit through some sort of celebrity suck-off porn film for that long.

Was is like two hours and something? Did you get through it with no caffeine?

just saw it in 3D today at a reg theatre, it was fucking awesome. wasn't even too stoked to see it in the first place, but i was blown away.

the whole alien jungle, atmosphere, bioluminescent plants and animals, whole ecosystem of alien species and indigenous people is amazing and genius.
the anti globalization theme and moral is kinda depressing, thinking about the native americans and current global situations, but its healthy to think about.

ill be buying it on blu ray fasho

visually compelling the whole time, and for me emotionally as well, i didnt want it to end

kind of wish i had seen the 3d version after going to see it in regular non 3d - it was a good movie even in regular, can't imagine how cool 3d would have been!

i cant imagine how it would be without 3D, lacking... only because 3D was so visually indulgent

Sadly we do not have an imax theatre where i live but im gonna invest in the new blueray 3d when it comes out. Bet it wont even be half as good as imax but either way 3d is the way to go! Do you have to use those fancy 3d glasses on imax theatres?

Wow and I thought it was terrible. The animation was excellent, but the quality of everything else was lacking.

Didn't see the 3-d though. I advised a friend to eat something special, bring some headphones, and enjoy the visuals.

Has anyone seen it? I'm afraid since it's 3 hours long and 3D.
Is it tiring?
Also people said they wanted to commit suicide after watching the movie, is it so good you don't want to live on earth anymore and are disgusted at humans?WTF?

Please comment if you saw it..

I went and watched it with my wife in 3D. It took about 20 minutes for my eyes to adjust to the 3D glasses but after that it was great. I thought it was a great movie. The story resembles exactly what we did to the Native Americans and that we would probably do it again. For some reason history repeats itself and we never learn from it. A few shrooms would probably make it even better.
