WTF! A half a zip a week? How about this; instead of buying 1000W light, get a job and pay for your own weed and lights.
Seriously, unless you just got home from Iraq or Afganistan you shouldn't be living at home asking for money to support a half a zip a week habit.
I'm 45 and don't smoke half of your weekly consumption!
You know, maybe it's just me but I would kick your ass or that habit of to the curb before I bought lights.

Half zip a week isnt much man. 2 grams a day or 2 blunts a day in my case. I dont really see how anyone could get by on less. To whomever is concerned, my dad dont just give me money for nothing, im 24 and I take care of his land and his house. We got 165 acres of land in the middle of nowhere. For the amount of work i do around here, he should be buying me a half oz a day. I pretty much work full time 8 hrs a day, fixing things around the house and carrying shit around and cleaning/organizing. I keep this house spotless (thanks to weed). He is too old with a bad back, he cant even get down the stairs to the basement to see what i have going on down there. The basement is the size of the entire house and is completely empty except for I got a lounge area with a tv, computer with internet, table, and couch and of course all the growing room I would ever need. Personal lounge area in the grow room is ideal for chilling, watching your plants grow, and thinking of ways to improve your setup. Best thing about my basement is that it is dry, most basements have wet mildewy walls, mine is perfect. My only concern now is, the light should be here in a few days and i dont have enough plants to fill its radius. I better get started germinating and planting! I start my plants in 24oz pepsi bottles with the tops cut off. I could fit 500+ pepsi bottles under the radius of the 1000w.
I may use some of the extra light radius to start some strawberry and rasberry plants to put outside in the spring

Sounds like a nice room to start growing out of. Watch out it can be additive!

you might be able to do 500 plants like you said but remember they grow and fast and 500 will be way to much in a short time start off alot smaller and work your way up and try to learn to clone your best strains its a wonderful technique and you will always no it is a female so no males. best of luck

This is to anyone who plans on buying from insidesun.com They took a week, thats right a week before they even sent my order out. I guess they were really high off the super dank shit I know they grow, being that they own a hydroponics shop. Now its supposed to be here today but seeings how its saturday of course ill have to wait till monday for it. Perfect.

i always order from electronic and lighting wholesale suppliers, like westburne and ruddy electric here in canada. they sell every size magnetic ballast kit, they have most standard bulb sizes, and can order you anything from flip-flops to just a new ignitor for the ballast. definately a great resource, and the bonus is i dont have to feel all sketched out buying from them because they are not a hydroponic store. in total my 2 1k lights, ballasts, moguls and wires cost me roughly 325$, for 2.
also btw, almost everyone i know smokes more then a half ounce a week. i have trouble smoking less then a hq a day, i dont smoke cigs, and weed is a complete replacement for them. sometimes i smoke upto a quarter a day without realizing lol

hydrowholesale.com complete 1000hps $179.97, cheap reflector and bulb, but wtf it works. Its 2wks from finishing 2nd run, so worth the $. Around 220 with s&h, had it up and running in 5 days. Plain brown box small shipping label.
