CHHC-1 + CAP Gen-1 questions

Just got the combo of CHHC-1 and the Gen-1 co2 burner.

Does anyone else use these products? The CHHC-1 seems to have an orange flashing light inside the sensor unit? Will this light cause hermies?

The Gen-1 has a pilot light... Which turns out to be fairly bright. I can't cover the device because it gets hotter than hell.

Does anyone use these things? I was very excited to get them but now I have reservations. Is the quantity of light produced risky?

Just teasin... ;)

Not usually, next dark cycle go in with both these things on and see how much light hits your plants.

So the Electronic Pilot Light on the GEn-1 is still bright as the normal pilot light? Let us know how it goes. I am also planning to buy the CHHC-1 and GEN-1 combo.

I use different units but the result is the same.My cap PPM-3 has a flashing light inside.I get a skosh of light from the pilot light of my greenair cd-6 burner. I also have green diodes and readouts on my dehumidifier and window AC.All of these things together do not affect flowering in the slightest

The pilot light is very bright. Blueish light. I had it on during the night cycle. Shines out thru all the holes. Electric ignition would probably defeat that problem.

The flashing orange light inside of the CHHC-1 sensor is a light emitted from the CO2 sensor for detecting CO2 levels. I tape up small pieces of aluminum foil tape at key strategic areas in the grille (w/o completely covering up the whole thing) to reduce the orange, and completely tape up all the external indicator LEDs.

The control / interface unit always sits outside of the room, so never had a problem there.

Just make sure it's in generator mode (hold Enter/Reset for 3 seconds, and scroll Up/Down 'til it says something like "gEnERAt", not "LogICoN". (Then press/hold Enter.) "Fuzzy Logic Active" should not be flashing.

I do cover one red diode on the dehumidifier but the blue and green diode are not going to affect flowering in the slightest.Easy enough to cover them all with elec tape if it worries you

Just got rid of the gen-1, it almost killed me yesterday from CO poisoning... Yikes. The benefit of not having to bring home CO2 tanks does not outweigh death. User error of course, but I don't want to use something that can slay me anymore.

If the rest of you are having no problem with the lights on the sensor there should be no problem for me either!
