I smoked this summer PP and i was a little bit disappointed about the high.Normally i smoke sativa's which are really mind f*ckers, but this one was dull.Probably it was harvested to early.

The Durban sold in the nineties in the shop was always good and gave you a good high.
Thanks to the conservative government policy is the quality & diversity of the weed sold in most of the shops today below zero, even the Haze gives you not the expectation.

Hunters Bar in April, just landed and dumped my bag in the Old Quarter next door, straight from being stuck in airports and planes for hours, needing to get high fast, ran next door to Hunters, it was busy so I glanced quickly at the menu, saw Trainwreck, it wasn't too expensive, 12e I think, bought a gram, grabbed a paper and tip off the bar and sat down and rolled half of it up in a J, took two puffs, realised it was PP and left the other half the bag behind and smoked the PP while briskly heading elsewhere to find something else. A friend bought some Sour Diesel somewhere else in the RLD that was PP that week as well.

..Doesnt suprise me at all, last few times ive been to Hunters the dealer has been a pr*ck and the weed has been well substandard, wont be going again!


Verdant Green has just finished a PP grow that looked very nice indeed, not sure what/whos cut it was!?

Have to say the times i have smoked PP in dam it has been sh*te, but ive had it in the uk and enjoyed the high although taste was lacking!

I was so disappointed when I went to Mellow Yellow, I was expecting a place dripping with history and nostalgia and it turned out to be more like a transport cafe, if it had had bottles of HP and bowels of sugar on the table it would have been exactly like a British caff! lol Not been back since, that was 10 years ago, don't remember the weed, can't say I've been to that part of town for a long time.

Never been in Mellow Yellow but walked past a few times, didnt all the old interior and fittings get sold off a few years ago now!?

fwiw I take mine to around 9.5 weeks (5% ambers) just over 2 week flush consisting of 10 days GHE ripen (chemical flush) 1 week of water only (thats after flushing medium to a run off of "zero" and then I leave them for a further few days til the coco goes dry and they've eeked the very last minerals from every part of themselves (or thats my hope at least) ... then I dry em and jar them and smoke em after a few weeks


anytime you're over for a visit, I'd be happy to get a bit out for your perusal



in my former life as a dj I played House, Techno, DnB, DubStep, Breaks, Lounge ..all sorts really, my tastes are pretty diverse...

I never used to be mind you, I was right little techno fascist when I was a back in the wales during the early nineties and only ever played nasty horrible try to kill you hardcore under the handle DJ Fuk Dup ..

But later on I grew up and one day a good friend of mine said to me "Mate, it doesnt matter what its called, just as long as its good" - that sentiment kind of changed my life and opened up a whole world of possibilities.. not just musically

So when I came to live here in NL I started playing techno at squat parties (acid and hard techno) but then started doing after parties around amsterdam as well, where I'd play dub reggae and or lounge.. after that I started playing more Drum n Bass as it was still "young" here and was getting plenty of gigs.. then I kind of retired a few years ago when I became a dad, as my litle girl comes with autism and needs me to be a more focussed kind of dad.. I still break out the vinyl from time to time, make sure I can still pitch a tune

I still play all these genres, but these days I keep myself to internet radio stations (dirtybass.fm deepbass9 etc) playing a mixture of styles, most of the time using a midi controller though rather than actual turn tables

you see I know the PP all you guys have been given and its proper boring arse fare, I see enough of it... I think this is why I'm so defensive of this strain, becuase I know a different side to her... when the "mersh" croppers get their hands on her they pump her chock full of nutes, give her no love, take her early, without flush and sell her wet and un cured and then ppl say "the PP is shite"

I swear to you, the PP I smoke would be a welcome addition to your stash boxes... not saying she's all you'd want in there... you want nice fat affie/paki and a nice head ringer haze too... but she's got a place when she's been treated right

I also think that when you're on "holiday in Amsterdam" you want brain wrecker gear.. you don't come all this way just for a tickle right? so again the PP is not going to be the one you tell you friends about... if however you smoke spliffs all day every day and still need some sembelence of brain function, shes a winner ..hehehe

i like PP, i guess its kind of a 'tame' sativa but its often what we reach for if you are having a few drinks and chatting , ive been at quite a few parties where most people are on the marching powder and we are smoking PP - and we're having a much better time . pretty lively, speedy stuff. i have a cut thats been around in UK for years. perhaps it doesnt have the exotic elegance of some sativas that take much longer to flower, but it has a place in my mum cab for the forseeable future. .

indifferent, is that the truth? - is PP a durban poison IBL ? , been trying to clear that one up for a while now

i grew mine in organic soil with guano and the smell and taste is greatly improved compared to previous PP that ive smoked. cant wait to run it under my new CMH bulb - should be extra dusty under that

Has anyone tried GHS Lemon Skunk? Is it good?

I understand it's an S1 of the Positronics Citral clone...

The Haze19 X Skunk was excellent bud, wish I would of saved a clone or at least made F2's but I was young and more worried about how I was getting to the next Phish show then preserving strains that would someday be lost.

I grew KC Brains Mango a few years ago and it was junk IMO, it hermied so bad by week six that it was culled early and never even sampled. It did however pollinate a strawberry cough and diesel that were growing next to it. I grew those seeds out for haha's and it produced some of the weirdest mutations I have ever seen and also the biggest fan leaf indoors in DWC to date. I named the seeds Unknown Soldier cuz I mixed them up and wasn't sure which was the straw cough or diesel mom.

I've heard the Citral has a super lemony flavor, is this true? I need an 8 or 9 week strain that tastes of lemon or oranges which is suitable for vertical SOG (stadium). I've been growin' Sensi's Hash Plant and the flavor and high are boring...but a finished 18-20" clone yields an ounce per so untill something can do better i'm stuck with it.

Well, the budsthey were selling in the shop last year were very good.

Franco posted it was the old citral clone last year but as usual, he was fibbing. It's the Las Vegas Lemon Skunk cut selfed, same cut DNA used, it's a hell of a cut, super lemony, very frosty, dense nuggets, very potent, yields good, all round great plant.

So if the GHS release is still that cut selfed (original release was) then it should be good as even Franco can;t get selfing such a nice sold cut wrong, right?

The Mango I have is superb, two keeper phenos I still have, never seen a sign of hermie, both yield big and taste really sweet and fruity, done in 60 days, it's not the best in the world but it's pretty damn good.

Mine were bought in A'dam in '05 I think, they were in the original pack when I got them in the states but the girl that bought them said they came from a coffee shop not the actual store. I started 5 of the 10 and ended up with one female and like I said she hermied up pretty bad. I lost the other 5 during a move so I never got a chance to see if there was anything better. I was hoping for that fruity pheno but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. I would give the pinky toe on my left foot for something lemony...the Hash Plant I have has become boring to the palate

Thanks for the info. Must say I'm a bit disappointed it isn't a Citral S1 after all, even though that does sound pretty good. Think I will have to try out Double Fun instead.

Double Fun is the closest you will find to the oldcitral I think. Nirvana's Citral used to be the Citral clone x purple skunk, not sure these days.
