lol we can still use her tho.. try to make the root as long as the plant. little shorter is fine tho..

now take a knife and lightly strip the roots tip.. the part that was connected to the plant and place her like such.

tape her up good n tight. not to tight tho to were your going to rip off the root tring to get the tape off.

now place her in water making sure the end of the cutting and the root are both cover in water untill 72 hours .. at the time you can slowly watch the water level drop by not adding anymore water and check to see if the transplant took..

she shouldnt wilt at all.. infact i found she perks up a tad...Pretty much makings the old methods go bye bye heheh. well there ya go any questions??

Depends what you deff of healed up is.. the water level on my first tests have been below the stem line for 2 days the root is the only thing keepn her alive.. so i guess 3 days ..still should take it easy on her tho...

Interesting. I still like my way tho. 2 inches of perlite, and about a 1/4 inch of water on the bottom, so that the perlite wicks it up into the atmosphere. No gel or anything, just stick em in and forget it. Averages a week. Don't forget to saran wrap the top of the container to keep moisture in.

I'm def gonna try this tho, seem really cool, but when you are doing doing a minimum of 20 clones, it could get a bit tedious. Wonder if can be like grafting at all, just take some roots from a plant that has very good root structuring, maybe the clone will not use any of its own genetic makeup for the roots? Hmmm....

Wont change the clone but.. im going to be hacking down a whole mother plant and using roots, leafs, clones everything.... ill post pics later.

Okay, am I delusional or did I just see you tape some roots from a mother plant onto a cutting?

I don't see that graft taking hold, it might some of cannabis surprising to say the least...but highly unlikely or cutting the stem down the middle...which really opens the cutting up to infection (the number one risk of taking a cutting).

i wouldnt put gel because ur not trying to grow new roots ur trying to make her heal and no fresh cuts dont need h202.

and for the nah sayers i took one of the 2 clones from my first test out. the bigger of the clones i plucked off the root i added and stuck it in a bottel with the same water level and it died. the one of the right side was plucked. so proving the root is what was keeping her alive.

has anyone else had success with this method? I will try it as soon as I can take clones and do a side by side with rooting hormone on one side and a modification of this method on the other. I do everything the same except I will put them into rock wool it should work the same. I am pretty sure medical tape that you can get in first aid kits is the same as grafting tape and could be cheaper.
