What's new

I want to get some new genetics but scared to order seeds

Hey all, I want to try out some new strains but only address i have available to me is the grow address. would guys def not have seeds sent here? its a small 250w op and i would just be getting one pack from the bay or the boutique.

what are my other options for places to have seeds shipped to, or other ways to find seeds/clones. dont want to ask friends to use their places, as i feel that would sketch them out.

lastly does the boutique and the bay both ship with freebies, or just the bay?

thanks

both

and with a grow as small as that id just go for it, i doubt anyone has ever been busted from ordering a ten pack of seeds, and seedbay is as stealth as you get.

Hey Iceman i have been agonizing over this for months but today i have took the plunge.

Not wise at all sending them to your lab addy!!! Send them to a family member.

Both do freebies but from what i have heard the bay is a bit better than boo for freebies but they are both the same thing

Well why even risk being compromised?

You may progress to prison you may not it's your call. Are you in the US?

Just get a safe address to send to. Orderding seeds can be pretty scary at first. But after you do it a few times you will see they do get through. It seems there are very few instances of seeds getting confiscated. Thats said it can and does happen. Therefor the safe house is that little added protection. Watch out though. Ordering seeds can become very, very addictive....lol

Good luck to you

Usually the worst thing that will happen is Customs will send you a seizure letter stating what they took, and number to call if you want them back. Obviously dont call them. You must realize that the Fed's could give a fuck about your 250 watt grow. In something related to this I have had customs come to my house and walk right in like they owned the place. When there are people with guns coming in your house like that a lot of things cross your mind. However they i.d. myself and another person and the product that was being shipped was not being shipped to us. The only thing that matched was the address. So the lesson that you can take from this is to always ship the seeds under another name. Preferably of someone that use to live there, or just send them to "current resident" like they do with the junk mail. That way if some shit goes down you can play dumb. I never use a real name. So far so good.

I send everything to the grow house. Seeds, grow equipment, friend's grow equipment (they're too paranoid). Been ordering grow equipment for 5+ years with no probs, but seeds it hasn't been too long. I ONLY trust SeedBoutique. I'm in the US.

Now is the time to order if you are going to do it! The flood of Xmas mail provides a lot of cover and the post office has only so many inspectors! Your odds are much better during the holidays!

I order my seeds and equipment to my house from my debit card for a couple years now, no problems, if they are on to you that will be that last thing.

If you are going to order better do it soon, 18th is last day before two week holiday.

Why did no one mention using a Post Office box? Is it a giant red flag for inspectors?

Best of luck on your order and grow :joint:

You still have to give your name to the post office when you open up a PO box... Its not like they don't have your name and address anyways

Try and order to a safe addy. If not. With that little 250w, I wouldn't sweat it. Seeds are almost impossible to stop and if customs ever did get their hands on a letter with a few seeds, they would send you a letter explaining how to claim your illegal contraband at the Customs office.

Now that, I don't recommend doing!

A few seeds?? Call me loose cannon, but I don't think it's worth sweating over.

In my humble opinion I don't think it's wise to send them to your own place. Aslo using a fake name is potentially an added charge against you (I forget the exact one). A PO Box address is said to have extra scrutiny and you need an ID to get one, so not much good there. If someone you trust already knows what you are doing, talk to them about using their addy...offer them a free sample when the crop is done. I would guesstimate that you have about 97% chance of the package getting past customs, but if it doesn't, would you feel comfortable growing at an address where customs has documentation of you ordering seeds to?? Personally, I would NOT be very comfortable growing at such a place....I guess another thing to consider is if this address will be long term or not?

I am so confused, what's the problem here?

All this speculation regarding seed orders and no one has hit the main topic the OP touched on - is a seed seizure grounds for an LEO search warrant or even further investigation?

My experience is no - that said what does it matter where the seeds go? If customs intercepts your order, lets say at some sorting office somewhere, you think they're going to open your package, contact LEO in your area, and inform them seeds we're being sent to that address?

I don't know, that seems far fetched to me. In my state they don't even come and arrest people who have warrants unless it's a felony warrant - I have had friends with misdemeanor warrants out for years living in the county that issued the warrant and the cops don't come to his home ever - they wait until you come out.

Anyways, so what's the final answer here? Is a seed order grounds for a warrant? And why would using an alias or false address make a difference, non of that PROVES beyond a reasonable doubt that the recipient ACTUALLY placed the order regardless of the ship-to info.

I'm going with NO - seed orders can get taken, but are not grounds for investigation..

Further more its EVIL and IRRESPONSIBLE to have seeds unknowingly sent to your family and friends. Take what you got coming if you think something is coming - don't lay those closest to you out to burn.

I can tell you this for certain, don't ask me how I know.

If you have steroids intercepted by Customs they only send you a letter saying they are illegal in the US and you can come claim them if you want. This is of course for a personal order and not a huge box of the shit. I would imagine it's the same for small orders of seeds.

Seeds are so easy to get through the mail though. Has anyone on here ever had their seeds seized?
