The Alibi x Herijuana has some chunky top colas. Here a shot of them trimmed on a scale.

Here are all the plant parts (buds, sugar trim, compost trim & stems)

Here are the wet weights of the plants

Overall the yield went down slightly from last round, but I should still end up with a solid ounce of buds.

Dry weights to come. I will also remove the large stem from the center of each of those big colas before getting a dry weight.

Thanks!

It is 70 days of flowering (12/12).

When I do a run in this cab, it is straight 12/12 from the day they are put into the cab (day 0). I don't really 'veg' the plants beforehand, they are just rooted cuts usually under 6" tall.

Here's the results from this round, 38.46g dry.

Yield went down slightly but I still got over an ounce of buds and many F2 seeds.

Here are the progression pics for the four plants.

Blynx, your grows blow my mind every time I see your final weights. :jawdrop:

That Alibi x Herijuana strain is pretty wicked! Just think, if you had 4 of those plants instead of the 2, you'd probably pull a solid 2oz dry.

I can't wait for your 5th grow. Are you planning anything special or any major/minor changes?

I wanted to run 4 alibi x herijuana but I didn't have enough cuts ready when I started this round.

My next round will include some new genes in the 1sq ft cab (I've run them under the 600w hps before tho).

I also plan on supercropping the plants to see if that will help the increase yield.

Yet another awesome grown, blynx. Out of curiosity, why do you flower your plants so early? I'm a huge fan of your Mob Boss grow a few months back and that cola was like 2' tall. Did you grow it in a different area or something?

**EDIT: Ahhhh, you do have 2 different set ups. My bad :D

Either way, very nice job!

Yep different areas, the Mob Boss was grown under a 600w hps.

I flower the plants 'early', ie transplanted from 3" to goldfish boxes and put straight to 12/12 in order to keep them short.

I do put the containers on the bottom of the cab for the first 2 weeks. Then I move the plants right up to the light and keep them there. If the plants stretch/grow any more, then I slowly move the containers down and/or supercrop the plants.

I've found that for small areas (around 1sq ft), that multiple 23/26w cfls work way better than 42w cfls.

I think people underestimate the amount of lumens coming off a cfl bulb at 1". The lumens ratings on cfls are the amount of lumens at 12".

If you keep your plant under 12" tall and keep the plant up close to the light, then a 23/26w cfl will be more than enough to penetrate to the soil level. The plants are more likely to fill in and leave less bare stem.

For a larger area (greater than 1sq ft) 42w cfls might be better, but for smaller areas imo, 23/26w are better.

This also leads to the next point of ventilation. IMO, when working in smaller area, ventilation is probably MORE important than amount of light.

This 1sq ft cab has a nice sized blower that moves a lot of air and there is space around the containers for air to flow from intake holes in the bottom to exhaust in the top. It keeps the cab pretty cool overall and allows me to put the plants real close to the lights (~1").

I have another small cfl cab that doesn't have very good ventilation. It uses 2 small computer fans sucking air through light traps. In this cab I tried using 42w cfls and running a LOT of wattage. With the low air movement the plants suffered greatly, even when I removed some of the 42w and put in 26w.

I have a third small cfl cab I just built thats being tested on it's first run. It uses a pretty powerful bathroom fan that literally sits on top of the cab and sucks all the air straight up from the floor intake holes through a sandwich scrubber and out the fan.

I ran very stretchy strains in this cab. They've all branched out and are up in and past the lights. The only burning is where plant material actually touched the bulbs, but other than that the fan keeps the air moving so much that it looks like the bulbs are buried in the middle of the plants.

So basically imo, flowering em shorter under multiple sources of light, and having good ventilation helps me increase my yield.
