I purchased 2 ounces of the highest quality of erb i have ever seen/smelled/etc. (not saying anything about the high just the overall quality of it was amazing) need info about triple berry kush, jack herer, and triple og kush as i would like to figure out this seeds lineage if possible.

one was called triple berry kush, and smelled more berrylike than anything i have ever smelled, i've fruit cured buds to smell very strong like fruit, and these smelled more fruity tenfold. it didnt even smell like erb. i cant seem to find anything on the net about this strain, but i think it might be triple og kush, need someone to tell me whether or not someone renamed the erb a little as i know strains have alot of AKA's. or its triple og berry

enough about that, my real purpose of requesting all this info is the second oz was called jack herer. like i said before these 500$ ounces were the best thing i have ever seen/smelled and were extremely perfect and i am very picky about quality, very well done stuff the pot was very fluffy sativalike kholas which reeked and tasted extremely lemony.

the catch with the jack herer is it had about 6 seeds in the oz. i have found seeds in my nugs before, its always apparent when they are found that the grower definitely fucked up and hence those seeds are there and are completely useless to me. i accidentally smoked a few, and lost some and lost all but one. this summer, saved one single fat healthy looking bean which was lost with a 2nd, i found only one in the grass when i looked for them (for 2 hours), so i've always had this chosen one feeling about the bean. haha i went on a dedicated rescue mission for it, and i usually wouldnt care, thats how good this bud was, hahaha

i recently popped the seed (popped and had sprout 3 days in rockwool,i vegged until i had 3 sets of nodes (seedling grew very slowly with plain ph'd water, 4 days ago it got its first dose of nutrients and is growing very vigourously after seeming almost stalled while i waited for it to be strong enough to handle synthetic nutrients. i will move on to 12/12 in 2 weeks or so. awaiting rooted clones i am desperately trying to figure out exactly or even loosely what its lineage might be. coincidentaly when i got the oz's and never hearing of TBK before i googled it and someone actually had a couple images of the exact erb i had in my bag, and had only pics of JH and triple berry kush.so im thinking they might have come from a specific club or breeder maybe theres someone here who can help me figure this one out.

so what might this jack herer really be?

1.i have never had a good enough amount of JH other than this, so no idea what it actually smells, tastes like, etc.

2.very lemony light green orange haired potent sativa buds. obviously coming off a giant mature sativa plant.

3.came with batch of triple berry kush(or triple og kush or something of the like maybe)

4.grower definitely knew what he was doing (why i think these seeds are good, cuz whoever grew this wouldn't have grown a herm, the seeds all came from inside one giant khola seemed as though it was pollinated, or maybe hit with silver

5.i did actually find pictures of the 2 finished projects somewhere on google, and the erb most def matched my stash, plus the irony of the 2 together...

6.i saved one of 6 beans for a extremely long time, that bean has taken on the role of jesus bean, like i paid for it...hahaha

i have maybe provided too much info here but i am being as specific as possible, if anyone could even help a little i will be checking back often.

below are some pics which might help up to day 30. i topped it today for a mom if things work out.

day 12 good pic of immature leaf with some odd spotting which was diagnosed in the infirmary as being common and no worry, esp since it had no food at this point.

day 17 pic of nodes, and plant

day 23 i think i fed for first time on day 22

day 30 pic of it enjoying being fed growing vigourously. the same lemony scent of that oz is present when the stalk is rubbed.

Occasionally a pure female can produce seeds without polination I believe its called a seed clone as the seed will produce a female plant which should grow almost identical to its parent. As I have never had the opportunity to grow a seed that was supposedly produced this way I cant say for sure that this is true or just urban myth any Expert growers/breeders care to comment? Is there any truth behind these so called seed clones?

I just got some of that and was looking for some info, I googled it and the first hit was this posting, It lead me to joining the site. Heres what I know, my guy gets his stuff from a dispensary in Colorado and I found a seed or two in mine as well, guessing from the post from Cateros, I bet the seeds good. Wish I knew more, let me know what you find.

Jack Here is a sativa dominant strain which has one indica dom pheno. Expect to flower for about 11 - 15 weeks. Very good smoke with no ceiling. I grew Sensi Seeds Jack Herer before.

Mature Jack Here plants make the few seeds on themselves here and there,, but not that many. It is important not to stress the plants from these seeds!! ,, otherwise the risk of hermaphrodites is increased and may ruin the crop. Keep the light cycle constant and keep temps slightly cooler than normal IMO and you should reap some nice s1 JH flowers.,, there is a very high chance it will be female :D

Organic Jack Herer is some of the best dope to be growing and smoking :bandit:

I'm very interested in the Jack strain, for the obvious reasons as well as having a custom 6th generation haze x skunk cross, that is from >10 year old genetics and is coming out of retirement with some 3 year old seeds. I've found seeds for NL#1, as well as a NL5 x Shiva that sounds interesting. Thing is, if I cross my genes with an NL1, that is JH (from what I've been able to gather, mostly from an article in High Times). I'm new to gene-splicing 8p.

So, if I understand this right, what I got was a:

"Nevile's Haze fem x Sam the Skunkman Skunk male (after he took his gene's to the 'Dam) *late 1990's genetics"

So I have Haze (°) and Skunk (*) and NL (#) as I'll use them in my chart. They were bred for six generations, selecting for potency, short, bushy traits - this is a heavy sativa dominant strain.

so lets say ° x * = @' @x@ 6 times and from what I've gleaned I'm one cross from a stable 7th generation (I was told it takes 7 gen's to get a stable strain). I believe I should raise a male and cross this back on itself once more, for that reason.

I'm about to purchase some NL seeds; for breeding I think I need to go with the NL#1; rather than the improved NL#5 - anyone know if I'm on the right track there?

The NL x Shiva cross sounds exciting, but I won't be creating a new strain of Jack if I use that - I want to do it in case its better, but damn, can it get any better?

ANYWAY - If I want to add NL1 or NL shiva into the mix at this stage (after my 7th cross), how do I make it an equal portion to the others?

THEORIES: @x# = &; which is 50/50, having added the NL genes, I need to breed it back down to 1/3. This means I take a & x @, do I need to do that 6 more times to get a stable 7 crosses, or...
@ x @, this formula seems like it would just give me a stable strain of 50% @ and 50% # when what I'm looking for is more like 33/33/33.

So I think the first method:
@ x # = & 50/50
then I take the resulting plant, and breed it back to my original haze x skunk:
@ x & = + 66/33 (2/3's Haze x Skunk, 1/3 NL)

Next I use that plant, saving the best male and females, and cross them together:
+ x + = ++
++ x ++ = ++
Do that 7 times and I have new stablish strain of Jack Herer!

Does that make sense? Does anyone know if I'm on the right track?

Nevile's Haze = Columbian Gold Sativa x Acapulco Gold Sativa x Mexican Sativa x Afgani Indica

Skunk #1 = Columbian Gold Sativa x Acapulco Gold Sativa x Mexican Sativa x Thai Indica

Nevile's Haze x Skunk#1 x Northern Lights = Jack Herer(?)

I don't know the NL genetics, I deduce from the short bushy plants they're an Indica?

anthony, this plant looks way too small for 30 days ! am i the only one to notice that ?
what kind of light are you using ?

also putting all this work for an unknown seed is quite dangerous, i ld buy some good genetics to start with... at least if you had a few more seeds even from bagseeds...

but hey, if it is very few seeds in this jack herer, maybe she eventually is a little hermaphrodite, which means you should mostly female seeds...
or mostly hermaphrodite seeds ^^ but hopefully not so much, as docleaf said, don t stress them !

When I used 3 year old seeds, they got off to a slow start. Using a clone dome made them grow a lot slower than without too. Still, I think only 2 of 18 of mine were that small or smaller @ 30 days.

I have a few triple berrys growing and would also like to know the lineage of this plant. I was told blueberry x blackberry x another berry the supplier couldn't remember. He said maybe smooshberry or something that sounded similar.
If anyone knows more about this one I would love to know!
