Help! My SCROG is out of control

Cut holes NOW! I flipped to 12/12 when my screen was full.

Here's my SCROG, I used 2" holes. I cut off ALL the green leaf under the screen...

How are you going to manage all of that green leaf/vegetation under the screen?

Yea I'm still trying to figure out exactly how high I want my lights, my understanding is that if I have it too close the plants will tell me (probably bleaching I'm guessing). If so, can I just keep lowering till I see some bleaching and then back it off a bit?

BTW good point on the fan failure thing. I think I'll have to do multiple fans from different angles accross the canopy for insurance.

Also I forgot to mention... this setup is in my basement next to my furnace (well insulated and not a significant heat source) and while setting it up I had a great idea. I pulled the cover partially off of my furnace, so now when the heat kicks on (2x every hour) instead of pulling 100% from the return ducting, its sucking massive air out of my grow area & turning over the air pretty regularly. Also its pulling the colder air from the rest of the basement in which helps temps a bit. I figured, hell, I allready have a MASSIVE fan built into the furnace, so why not make use of it.


I've been hacking away at the screen and weaving stems every-which way over the course of the day. I also need to setup my 3 aero cloners & ebb'n flow veg trays, but I'll put a pic of the SCROG once i finish cuttin screen & pullin shoots. Thankx fer all the input ppl. Hopefully if this all goes well I'll be knee deep in nugs in no time. Ah its such a shame I don't even smoke any more...... yea rite!

Use a bigger screen next time, with less plants... I would agree with everyone that suggested a 2x2 net... IMO the bigger the plants before they go under the screen the better the yield, the lower you can get your plant count...

i hope you have induced flowering by now like said before keep notes of what you like and didn't like to try it better next time trail and era is the best learning method for some of us.

Yeah that, 2in X 2in is perfect. Next time if you can't get em' local, or if ya don't wanna build one, do a search for scrog n grow on Ebay. That guy will hook you up real proper.

Mold city! The shots don't do it justice. It had a truly undead look. I call it zombie bud. I'll let a few popcorn buds survive down there for testing but, that's it.

Hey Dude,
There is standard set min-max height for Standard or Air-Cooled Lights(All Sizes Vary), i sugest you get that bit right, the specs are in this link if you wanna flick through, theres some pretty cool other info there too.

You will have upto about 2 wks into Blm to get all that foliage from under that screen, do it slowly - take a little at a time, so as not to cause any undue stress. n G'Luck
