Shopping for 1000w HPS

Hi guys, dad is getting sick of dishing me out money for weed so hes agreed to buy me a 1000w hps to put in the basement. I already have a 250w hps down there but its not producing enough bud fast enough to support my habit. Can anyone reccomend a good site to buy lighting or does anyone know a particular deal on a good hps light 600w minimum?

P.S. I already checked insidesun.com wasnt happy with the prices, i told him it would only cost $120

Well you pretty much lied then. I run a cheap magnetic ballast and it still cost me around $600 for the whole setup(hood, cord, ballast, bulb). 1kw, also. You might be able to cut the price down to 450-500 with a 600watter.
We all end up spending way more than initially thought. Much better than paying for commercial greens though.

Sun system has great, reliable, cheaper ballasts.

I grow in 4 gallon buckets and i can only fit 4 buckets under the light radius of my 250. I have 4 plants in each bucket this grow but once i get the 1000w im gonna 1 plant per 4 gallon bucket. Freezerboy, how the hell can u not keep up with a 250w hps?

BTW i have a whole entire basement to work with. The size of an entire house, all i need is the lights, soil, and plants to fill it. Help me out guys

Wow, well my brother rocks 4 250's and gets a little over a half elbow per run, how much weed you want to grow? I'm in the process of filling a basement myself, but I doubt your old man wants you becoming a commercial grower in his house eh?

Is that 4 gallon hydro or soil? If it is soil 4 gallons is overkill for a 250 bulb. you could get away with 1-2 gallon buckets and produce the same amount per plant. 4 gallon is good if your growing 4-5 trees. which a 250 will not penetrate.

I grow a single plant in a DWC and average close to half a pound. What kind of buckets? What's in them? Soil, coco, DWC?

Looked at plant lighting hydroponics and the ss-10 magnetic 1000w is $135, bulb $39, and a few hoods are priced around $100 Around 300. Never shopped there.

Guys, no i am not growing for commercial selling. Just for personal use but i smoke ALOT, like a half oz a week. Now you see why hes sick of dishing me out money for weed. I need enough plants that never have to worry about buying weed.

When i first start the hunt for 1000 watters i dont have the money to buy multiple complete systems so i buy every thing individual. It takes patient and times ( if you have them ) you can find pretty good deal.

I scored a few sun system ballast for 100 bucks each, 20 bucks each for every mogul and i buy eye hortilux bulbs in bulk on ebay for cheap.

You can basically buy anything cheap/half price, just the matter of finding them at the right place/right time.

IMO I would keep looking on CL and ebay for good prices but $120.00 for a complete set up i would be a little concerned about it i run a 600w and a 1000w and normal pricing for these as completes set ups cost between $350.00 to $500.00 out the door after taxes but on ebay i have seen setups go complete with S&H for free still cost around $350.00 best bet go on CL and post an ad looking for 1000w setup complete for about $120.00 you might get lucky good luck
