ant problem in my house

Apparently I have an ant problem. Up until tonight I've only seen one or two per week. No biggie. But I pulled an all nighter tonight and I've killed 8 big ass ants(with wings now, wtf?) in my kitchen. I guess I officially have an ant problem.

Anybody have experience here? Recommended chemical?

ya dont need a chemical...just locate their 'bed'...ie: anthill.
Step#1...BUY a large bag of hominy grits.
Step#2...Pour grits on top of anthill...cover entire anthill and surrounds.
Step#3...Wait until ants carry grits inside anthill.
Step#4...Pour steaming hot water onto anthill...use about 5 gallons hot water.

Methodology:
The grits will be carried into the anthill by the worker ants and ingested by ALL the
ants including the queen. This takes about an hour. The hot water causes the grits to
swell thereby bursting the ants internally, ending the ant problem.

gee I would have thought the boiling/hot water would be quite effective on it's own. Maybe you could feed them alka-seltzer and just use luke-warm water

Find their route in - baseboard, etc., and pour table salt in heavy line over the hole, and up and down the route they walk.

Couple days - no ants.

If you own he house Buy a couple boxes of Borax Its Boron, A natural ant repellent and pour a Line of it around your house. Guaranteed no ants. Aslong as they arnt tunneling in under ground

Are you sure they are ants, and not termites?? Termites look similar, and you rarely see just a couple ants--

Just torch the whole house man.....and be done with it, these bastards can ge hold of your place and really trash it.....after all there are more ants than humans so we are already outnumbered.....

....I had a similar situation with their buddies....'The Termites'....

theres this product I got from the hardware store.. its a bunch of granules that you place on your perimeter & also in the colony where they are originating from. Havent had ants since.

ya, i just got a major ant infestation as well. its got to be the cold weather the bay area is going through right now, shit it even snowed here yesterday!

I'm also getting out the magnifying glasses and the camera ready. The interwebz need to tell me if these are ants or *gasp* termites.
