Scroger...Yeah, they are the Blue ones too, suppose to be the best! Who knows why it blew out, there was a drop of amber color liquid on the bulb? atleast they are covered under a year warranty...The shop just gave me a new one for free because it was under a year old:) But the 400 watt ones cost 124.00 USD I got them down to 99.00 I think...anyways it shouldent have blown, but now you see how my luck is! Hey how do you give +rep ?

Hey SK-W's,
Before i forget you hit the scales symbol by the caution sign bottom left of each frame/on screen to give Rep!!.
WOW dude them Eye Hortilux are very expensive ah $99 USD - thats about £75-80 at the current rate of exchange & thats with a discount, i want one so i best get saving. Do they do full spectrum versions? I know these things are supposed to be the best & knock out more lumens if i'm not mistaken? Grolux & Sunmaster i use $25-30 USD.
Yeah i cant really see under that HPS its just sooo' orange ah, but the plants look good.
Lucca Nice plants dude-Cool are they Nivarna's too?.
Peace............Scroger!!
Ps- heres a link to my Grow Thread if you are interested bro':

lumens

Scroger, Yeah the eye hort blue are full spectrum...im pretty sure you end up paying for that and the enhanced blue in lost lumens...im pretty sure the blue has less lumens than the regular eye hort M/H but they claim that less lumens in a more usable spectrum is better than more lumens in a spectrum that isent bieng usen in photo synthesis? does that make sense? I thought it did....Ill change to my Hps shortly after switching to 12\12. Yeah the pics suck under hps, when i switch back, ill take them under the sidelight and then turn on the hid after! I have some better pics from after i got back lastnight but i got them confused, maybe ill try to post them in a few? and i owe you some rep 4 real, you have been a great help with my grow so far...i will be watching yours as well... later scrog
....
those blackjacks look nice dont they? hope mine turn out like that!:watchplant:

Yeah similar to the Growlux then(i think) enhanced blue spectrum, i'm getting more pronounced trichs using them as apposed to straight HPS spectrum! i'll check the specifications myself to save confusion!! I do understand you!

They look cool!

They look cool!

'Yeah dude they look fine man,
Keep an eye on the tone of green that they are now. If they start to get any lighter at all then bump the ppm back up a little. 'EC .6 is sound, but like i said if they get 'any lighter' at all, bump it to .7 and you'll be good. keep dropping the P.H to 5.5 for best 'N' absorbtion. Keep watching closely. They are coming along nicely dude so stick with the programme. G'Luck My friend'

SkuNkWorX, They didn't stretch much probably doubled. and they stopped after week 3.
one is much bushier than the other because had a few probs and had to flush a couple of times,
where as the otherone's been fert fed the whole time. Although the less bushy one seems to have the bigger main bud at present.

Just have to wait another 30 odd days with this lovely smell.

Scrogerman. Thanks. Not Nivarna's, they're from a local Spanish supplier.
Lovely scrog you've got going, I'm going to scrog my next lot as I've got too many clones to let run wild, they'll need training.

Lucca, how is the smell? It seems that as small as my plants are they already are starting to produce a bit of an oder when i have the fan off? are they pretty strong? prolly a good thing i got a can 33 in my 56 cubic feet! overkill but should keep me safe!

I havent got a carbon filter so in the room if you brush them they stink.
When I open the room they're in in the morning the house fills up with a juicy fruit gum smell. But soon goes with the windows open for a while.

I've got strong cinnamon potpourri at the front door, so people get a blast of that when the come in rather than weed.

Hey scroger...how do i count the nodes and where did you say i should cut to just top my plants once? I dont want to mess things up when it comes to cutting on my plants! I need to get it right the first time! I havent done this before so again your advice will be welcomed...maybe by the time i get this diary done there will be enough good info in it to write a grow bible! j/k but for real...ive learned alot from you and a few others in a short period time, i wish it was all here in my journal. ill have to go back through everything and take notes so i dont lose anything. anyways my plants are doing well...the last 2 are growing real fast the first one i think was hit the hardest by the burn, and i assume its going to take a bit to catch back up...the second plant is still smaller than the others, it took the burn second hardest but i think it was always a slow grower? I was thinking about topping my plants after we spoke on the subject and it makes sense that 2 tops would be easier to scrog than just one...if ya got the time gimme some details on the process...which node and how to count them.
Thanks again ............Skunk :thanks:

Check this out:
I take that 'top-shoot' in the link' slightly lower myself & try to leave slightly less of a nib to the next node/leaf -set.
A Node is the nib that each leaf set grows out of. You start with the cotyledon then the next set is your first true set of leaves. Each set of new leaves that grows, grows out of a node.(it looks like a raised bump)
Here's a link to a shot of Fimming Vs Topping which also shows you the standard topping site.

When you take a cutting/clipping you would cut a 45* angled cut straight through the node, which would produce more roots etc.
If you try to =FIM(Fuck-I-Missed) your plants you could end up with too many tops all at the top of the plant (this can be a problem).
So if you just 'Top you should end up with something a little more managable. Much better than say 8 new branches just at the top(including all secondary branching) of each plant, which will more than likely happen if you FIM' & could possibly make hard work for you. I rec getting used to it first & use a standard topping tecnique! This will give you 2 top-shoots & all your secondary branches to contend scrogging with, as when you top you are moving the 'auxin' hormone which resides in the main growth tip down to the secondary branch tips & you get a large flush of growth from these shoots because of this, the auxin now resides in these, Bending has the same effect.
I Top/FIM at the 6-8th Node, depending on strain .'OK buddy
When doing this some of the very bottom branches may have to be removed if they do not take off or they may end up as dead growth, you will see this as they tend to really get left behind.

'Hope this Helps'.........'Peace'.............'Scroger':eggnog:

Scroger, as always i appreciate your time and knowledge...Yes it helps! I have info on the technique but it makes me feel better to hear somone explain it, especially when they have used the technique themselves! Ill have to count the nodes and see where im at...I wouldent want to cut at wrong node or too early...that would ruin my day...or monthl! lol :thanks: Skunk

OK..The first two plants are still moving along slower than the second 2...I think this is due to them bieng hit harder by the nute burn than the others. Im hoping they will recover and pick up speed a little bit as the other two will soon begin to dwarf them in size! Ive also noticed that the roots arnt as devoloped on the slower growing plants...could this be due to the nute burn as well? Im sure they will come along....anyone ever go through this before or have a similar problem? I moved plant 1 directly under the light in hopes that it will help pick it up a bit? guess its worth a shot. we will see!

Hey buddy,
If you've gone from seed then you are going to have different pheno's. This will contribute to some moving quicker than others too, watch out for this from seed.
I have 1 runt in my tank, 3 lesser pheno's, 1 ok(medium size) sort of pheno and 3 very good, big strong robust phenos and they are all slightly(minimally)different, one indi, one sati and a 50/50, so i got my pick for next time. the weaker pheno's will be trained less in the Screen for obvious resons. Of the 3 beast pheno's with stems nearly as thick as my wrist (lol), i will take a cut of each & produce Mum-A,B,C 'etc. After i have sampled the originals i'll know which one or two to keep!
I'm sure you know about pheno's from seed, i was just throwing it in!
'Anyway there looking ok buddy, keep on top!!!!!

'Peace'...........Scroger

Ps-if you are still using the grow formula i would stop, check this link out n then read up on using the 5-10 ratio micro/bloom for veg buddy(you may or may not have to add Mg/Epsom Salts to the equasion). there is something bugging me about the colour of the leaves there, something is lacking. check that ratio against your tap and start using that if you aint already. If you dont do this now i think you will be pretty soon, so my advise would be to get it done now while the plants are still ok!

Here's the link:- http://www.treatingyourself.com/vbulletin/archive/index.php?t-227.html

Link to Lucas Formula Values: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=21119

read that and then do a search on here, there will be loads of info on using GH 3 part! As IC is the best source of info on the web anyway imo!!
G'Luck buddy, this is just my advise-THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO!!!
