Yep, I'm really happy to give this strain a run. Heard nothing but good things about it on the board. Got 5 PPP as a freebie, thank you SeedBoo!

Germed for 2 days using the paper towel method. 11/11 AK47 , 5/5 PPP popped. Went into peat pucks, CFL's 24/0....it's been a day or two.

Plan: Using B1U's recipe. 2-600 W HPS's. Of course, I'll be looking for keepers....so I'll veg them enough to clone, then flower the donors. Would like to keep some male pollen to create F2's, and to hit some other strains with. I will have to do some more reading in this area.

So, what is the recommended veg time and flower time?

Had a SS ak47 cut I ran a while ago... really sad I let her out of the garden. Veg is pretty much up to you but be ready for a decent stretch (not too bad) and she is ready to go @ the 8-9 week mark. Good luck!

Have some running now, along side of SS white Russian. They are doing GREAT!! Mine all popped in 24hrs, 100%germ, veged for two weeks and have been 12/12 for about a month. They are looking and smelling excellent. Out of five of both strains I got three females each and they are growing like crazy. I can't wait until they are done.

I think I will be keeping this one, But I should have made some beans, I scalped the boys too quick.

Should be a great haul. I am running those two strains along with some GHS kings Kush and Paradise Whiteberry, I usually run a grow a year, and it will last me until the next.

I run 2gal or 3gal square pots, flower at two weeks, that's about it, nothing fancy. Promix/ffof mix and am using botanicare nutes. I will end up with 3'-4' tall plants heavy with bud. my space is 7x7, and by the end a small mouse would have trouble squeezing through the hedges. I pack about 12 plants under a 600 watt hps and just grow. I am low on the watts per sqft, but every surface is mylar covered and the plants absolutely explode with growth.

I usually top them, but this run I let mother nature run her course and did not top any want to see how much they produce. I need to keep them smalish that's why the smaller pots, but in all my past grows I usually average about 2+oz per plant which is more than enough.
This is definitely not a cash croppers set up, I have lots of restrictions in my spot, so I aim for 1lb per grow (always do better) and that will last me the year.

A grower I have learned a ton from just by watching his grow journals on RIU is Raiderman. If you ever check out some of his grows, I am a copy cat. He signed up here a few weeks ago, so hopefully he will show us all some more here. He has a great growing style that suits my space so that's what I have been doing.

Hey man I just harvested some serious ak47. I got 7 females out of 11 seeds. I seen 3 mani phenos and some in betweens. 1 was short and fat, largest nugs, 9 weeks finish. Main pheno i seen was this:

Something to look forward to So far I am impressed with the strength, and it seemed very easy to grow.
There was a sativa leaning pheno i didnt like, good smoke but to slow for me

I can only find good things to read about SS's AK47 too, but I was wondering what made you get it, that is, if you got it for its medicinal value, what you're hoping the effects will do for you...

Is that something you feel comfortable discussing here, or should I take that to PM's?

Btw, I guess you could say I'm a fan of Serious Seeds. I have some Kali Mist and Chronic and eventually I hope to go thru their whole line. I also have some PPP freebies I'm looking forward to popping...

i have that cut in my garden, i love it, smels and tastes like cotton candy, it has its own smell , the same way diesel has its own smell.Nothing else is like it. Also its easy to trim not leafy at all and it goes 9-10 weeks. Good luck bro, enjoy

I chose AK47 because of it's reputation. Fast, strong, easy to grow.....ok makes sense to me.

I knew I wanted a strain from Serious....so I went with that.....then finally chose AK47.

Hey there,

I stumbled on your thread while searching google for more information on my Cherry pheno of AK47. I've had both and they both are very good producers, was given a cut of the Cherry back in January 09. Both phenos could be cut right at the 8 week mark although I would suggest waiting until closer to 9 as the potency seems to go through the roof at that point.

I agree with central coast bud on the stretch, I grow mine along side Purple Kush and have to make sure I keep an eye on the AK or it will over shadow kush. I start flowering at about 1.5 feet tall and at finish the AK is a good 6" to 8" taller than the Purple. One of the cool things is the side branches really produce nice buds. It's a great yielding plant.

I'm going to share a couple pics from last nights trimming so you can see what your looking forward too. These we're under 2000 watts HPS in soil using the Botanicare line of nutes.
