Marijuana: California Tax and Regulate Cannabis 2010 Initiative Suspends Signature

J

JackTheGrower

If Ab390 or Tax2010 make it into law it will make further change easier since it will be somewhat legal..

I should be able to get more people to help gather signatures once they know they are not in danger doing so since it is semi-legal.

I would rather get it done right from the start but I know it will take time for people to get mad that they can have cannabis but not jobs.

Then they will want the CCI kind of change.

So...if this passes, that will mean that some Cities may choose to opt out, and not allow sales...
That is GREAT news for us Growers!!! Damn...and to think we almost lost the Black Market!!! Thank you, you mindless overpaid Politicians like Bonnie!!! I was getting worried that I might soon have to get a, uh....what do you call it again?? Oh yeah....a JOB!!

and you're presuming that there are politicians that will pass on 'free' revenue, lol.

They are ALREADY passing up free revenue down here in SD you genius. Some CITIES actually get a small percentage of the sales tax in addition to most of that sales tax that goes to the state of cali.

Thus by prohibiting dispensaries in some cities in san diego county they are passing up this tax revenue.

Like Koroz said, you have NO idea because you don't live here. it's a MORAL thing with people like Bonnie and Bill Horn.

Lee could come to san diego and DONATE MiLLONS UPON MILLONS to the city and the politicians directly and they STILL would not allow MMJ. They just don't want it, PERIOD.

But of course you living in a place like oakland you have no idea that some other parts of cali don't live like the un-moralistic "raider nation" mentality you've got going on up there.

lol, yeah I knew I kinda went out on a limb there but my point was I just find it strange that oakland not only doesn't have a problem with richard lee and how he operates but seems to embrace it.

I mean if he runs his business in the same shady manner he does this TC2010 then I just can't see looking up to the guy or even accepting (tolerating) him.

No need to thank me, you earned it. Don't sell yourself short on the douche bag thing.

TC2010 is definitely an improvement on the status quo, has a realistic chance of passing vs the hare brained Props being pushed by those who are clueless about political reality, and the parts your bitching about won't take effect for years and years, if ever, since they're dependent on the Feds legalizing. Richard Lee could well be dead from old age before those parts take effect, and you're presuming that there are politicians that will pass on 'free' revenue, lol. In the meantime, it will no longer be probable cause for a cop to smell burning or growing cannabis.

If Richard Lee just cared about money only the Prop could well have been written to define dispensaries as legal, and how they can legally operate But it's positively retarded to believe that Mr. Lee thinks he's going to somehow corner the cannabis market, or that he needs the money. Your entire argument is that you'd rather keep your head totally submerged in a bucket of shit rather than starting to extricate it.

Question:

What county do you live in? What City?

Ill answer first.

San Diego County (In NY atm for a job, but my "home" where I "live" is SD).

I think we all know why you are pushing so hard for tax cannabis 2010 to pass. What you don't understand is California was ready to legalize it WITHOUT the bullshit clause added by Lee. The government wouldn't have had a CHOICE in the other initiatives. It would have been up to the people. No one is going to vote to take the power out of the peoples hands. You are just blinded by the thought of free cannabis in your district.

Why are you so against giving the vote to the people? Do you think this has a higher chance to pass because the people don't get to choose which counties do or don't sell Cannabis? You make no sense... I really have a hard time understanding your logic.

"People won't vote for CCI because it doesn't allow them to decide if they want it legal or not!? OGM!"

yet, neither does TC2010, it gives them LESS power, because those who voted for it won't have a choice in their local governments if it is followed, and those who voted NO won't have choices in place like Oakland. So either way the "No voters" are going to lose out who live in Counties where Cannabis is considered less of an abhorrent past time, while places like San Diego no one gets a choice.

You see, I think my Signature fits you perfectly. You don't care about the other counties because you don't have to, right Oakland boy?

So wait, you are saying the provision inside of the initiative that says local governments may choose to NOT allow sales or taxation of Cannabis, is not continued prohibition?

So whats this, You mean its NOT filtering business to areas like Oakland by allowing counties like San Diego to not allow sales of Cannabis, and only allowing an ounce to be on hand at one time?? that means for me I have to either move to Oakland, or, I have to drive to Oakland from San Diego at least once a month to pick up more because they allow the local government to decide WITH OUT A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE WHO PASSED THE INITIATIVE to continue to ban sales?

Remember I have to have the written permission of the land owner to grow, and since I rent and my current complex is very against Cannabis in any form, medicinal or not that makes sure I either have to pay early termination fee's to end my lease before it is up and move or I get to spend tons of gas to drive to another county.

Care to explain how you think this is bullshit?

-EDIT thanks for the negative rep, I would do it back but im not a douche bag.

Thank you for pointing out what a piece of crap this initiative is. The only thing it has in favor for it is that it will allow additional freedom to SOME people, allowing information about cannabis to spread a bit further.

If it's the only initiative out there I'll vote for it. You can be damn sure I'll be pushing for something better immediately.

No Tax2010 looks like it will boost the Black Market!

We all will be able to make good cash selling weed if tax2010 goes in!

If CCI can't get the signatures I am wanting to kick off CCI 2012.. Or Something like that..

Was talking today how we could use a Cannabis Caucus.. Of should we call it a Cannabis Congress to address the real issues we want.

This "in a hurry" way to get something on the books may well fly but in 2012 we could push reforms that we actually can live with.

What do you all think of a well thought out and well organized campaign in 2012?

Why do you think R lee was first out of the gate.

he knows this will "fly" and is using that towards his advantage because he doesn't give a shit about " well thought out reforms that we actually can live with".

I mean look at his MO. He dives head first in to the dispensary biz to make as much profit as he can in as short a time as he can.

Richard lee's gonna be sitting on an island in the bahamas in ten years sippin pina coladas while we're all here scratching our heads.

Yes Blindly so.. They don't know the difference between decrim and legalization.

For the most part that is. So the first one that appears to "legalize" is a sell!

That million dollars spent is how it was done. I couldn't get folks to get up and stick with it gathering signatures. Also I ran into the kind of people looking to form connects but only interested in black market.

Folk saying i don't want any law because I make too much money now.

Once it is somewhat legal it will be a different world in 2012.. Folks won't have to worry that their neighbours will know since it will be semi-legal already.

Some form of CCI is 2012.. maybe roll all the good things into one initiative?

Maybe he vends to the oakland clubs and doesn't want to lose that.

My operation is shut down, my bags are packed, I'm leaving CA for either CO or DC just as soon as the do nothing Senate figures out the FY2010 appropriation bill and decides whether Initiative 59 will finally be allowed to be implemented. I don't have a horse in this race.

But it is amusing that anyone that disagrees with the bullshit put forth by the extremists must have something else in their heads that's causing them to disagree. It couldn't possibly be that the extremist position is retarded, has no fucking chance of passing, and that you're a bunch of idiots for not understanding political reality. It'd almost be amusing if it wasn't so pathetic and destructive to our interests.

I think you are the one who doesn't understand the political climate in California. You are so quick to judge and call names you don't sit back and think things through. Instead of trying to understand others points of views, you, who I am guessing is an adult in age is an immature child in maturity.

You close your mind off, and say NAHNAHANAHANHA with your fingers plugged in your ears calling people "Extremists" and "Idiots" and passing negative rep around for a differing point of view..

You call people extremists, but I think in the end you act just like the current past 2 administrations in our government by deflecting a conversation and trying to get your point across with buzz words and shit talk.

/grats, you have shown me exactly the type of person you are. You don't care about anyone's liberty but your own. You don't care about this movement you care about your small little world. Fuck you sound so much like a neocon in today's government I wouldn't be surprised if you start telling us we need bases in Iraq to fight gods good war. This will be the last time I post in regards to anything you have to say because it is apparent you are here to do nothing but incite trouble. A common troll.

Hurry and get the last word in, I think it will fit in nicely with the personality trait you have going for you!

Off year election, we have Obama in office. Liberals that would vote for this typically dont show up for off year elections. But die hard republicans/conservatives/religous fucks do.
