I think these are for 97 cents in so-cal . The price has discount already included by so-cal edison .yes they fit in standard light bulb sockets

Thanks for the heads up. The CFL at the local hydro shop is 25w and costs about 20$.

I wonder though if it is available in Canada and whether it is in the right spectrum for veg?

Yea at a local grocery there was some deal thru the Electric company to promote engery saving etc...and they had a bunch of diff size wattage cfl bulbs on sale for a dollar! i snagged a few 23 and 46 just for the heck of it.

They say warm light - that is okay for veg, but more toward the red for flowering. Good find.
