Amsterdam 28th Feb till 2nd March anyone?

Greetings fellow ICer's, me and my girl will be in amsterdam from Sat 28th Feb till Mon 2nd March just for a flying visit and were wondering if anyone else will be there during our time to meet up for a smoke, drink and chat. Also does anyone know of anythin in amsterdam at the moment that would be classed as a "must smoke"? many thx and maybe see you there

Currently I hear there are some good batches of..

Super Silver Haze @ Mellow Yellow
Purple Kush @ Green Place
Amnesia Skunk @ Dampkring
Lavender @ Dampkring

..but by the time you go things might have changed, of course.

There is also currently a Haze called Quasar which is €16-17/gram and seems to be polarising opinion. Some people claim it's the best in town, others seem to be slagging it right off..

To be honest that's the exception and is super expensive, even for Amsterdam. You're maybe talking €9-12 on average, which last year was fine for us brits at £6ish/gram. Now it's more like £8-11/gram to us, with the nosedive the pound has taken.

Strangely, local UK prices have also crept up in the past year, and are pretty much at parity with 'dam prices (£20-25 for a 2.5g 'eighth' bag of good weed, and sometimes not so good weed).

thanks McSnappler for ur input i had the lavender last time i was in dam (Oct 2008) think from katsu tho and i wasnt that impressed with it, i think i willl try the purple kush, amnesia skunk and super silver haze.
Norcalfor20 i would love to come to cali and have a look round however i dont think i will get past immigration due to past criminal activities in my youth. i have heard stories of brits being refused entry to the states for car offences so i have no chance as i was a bad boy in my youth or should i say a fool lol

that exchange is killer isn't it? a few months ago 1 pound was down to 1 euro. Great for me when coming home to visit, but awful for anyone visiting here

Damn right the exchange rate is shite for us brits at the moment i can remember when we got 1.40+ for a pound, those times are long gone im afraid.. I actually think it went below 1 Euro to the pound briefly a month or so back, remember the rates u see are buisness rates which are slightly higher than the rate we would get from post office, bureau de change etc

Like JamieShoes has already said if there is anyone in/around Haarlem on sunday pop into willi wortels sativa shop where we are having a little meet... We will be there fom 1.30pm approx...

Anyway must dash gotta make sure i have everythin sorted for my trip

I will be leaving for Amsterdam January 16 to the 18 and then returning again fib 24- march 3.

I have been reading many forums to be amazed at the number of people that have been disappointed after travelling to IAMsterdam.

I have been to Cali and smoked weed their great but it’s different. Smoking herb in Vancouver is great as well but comparing it to a trip to Amsterdam doesn’t compare. Travelling going to foreign continents and foreign cities is just an experience that people need to have.

I also read many disappointed peoples' thread and can tell you that there IS good herb here... just you have to look around a bit.

Sadly, many people are prepared to buy the bad grown weed thats touted in the red light district and so theres no reason for the shops there to sell anything better... as I say though, there are still some places that offer quality at reasonable prices ... my faves are boerejongens and bij... I musta said that amillion times on these boards... those guys should give me a discount or something..lol j/k but they are top drawer.
