Im not a racist at all ...but let me put it this way...ANY religion that thinks that genital mutilation is a good thing... deserve NO FUCKIN RESPECT.

Thats a bit strong dts but all religions seem to have major issues moving with the times and dropping any of these now obsolete 'traditions' !

Things will not change for many generations , too much hate passed from adults to children on both sides, sadly it runs to deep and we will not see real peace for a long while yet!

needs a radical approach, like MDMA in the tap water or something!!

Religion hey, dont you just love it !

The middle-east is a very diverse region in terms of ethnicity; the problem is that since Arabs are imperialists by nature, many non-arab tribes are under the illusion that they are actually arab when in fact they are not. The finest example of this are the people of Syria; Syrians are actually non-arab semites that were colonized and converted to islam by force 600 years A.C. to the point where Syrians are considered arabized semites.

Bedouins are not arabs either. and the Kurd are not arab either.

do any of you even know how Arab Emirates was created?

if you have beef with how Israel was created, you cannot like, Saudi Arabia, Arab Emirates and much less Pakistan, because it would be inconsistent. Those countries represent imperialism at their prime.

Iran is pretty funny too, people think of them as arabs too; but any real persian is offended by such common confusion; it is so common even some persians think they are arabs, this is true too due to the huge colonial pressure the arabs have played in the middle east.

picking history books is fun... how about pakistanis who think themselves as arabs too? funny stuff... lack of identity...

out of all the non arab and non-arabized ethnicities in the middle east, which ones back up Israel? the true numbers behind this question are pretty interesting, dare to find out?

peace

Dont be folled prior to ww2 the jews had no real claim to palestine for about 700 closer to 1000 years they got ejected. That is what caused the jewish population on europe. If they had a home they would have stayed there. Ask why jewish lenders wont loan money to non jews its against thier religion. That is why my married German family recounts their war against the jews. Germans had nothing jews owned everything. that changed quick didnt it. Now I have lost 5 friends because we try to support their 1000 year claim to a land they lost long before we crusaded for it in the first ploace. that is sic. The middle east belongs to arabs. Europe whites. Africa blacks and arabs. America americans no matter the creed. Palestine palestinians.

goldstein called, its the 2nd, and your rent is late again...

Factoid of the day:

The generic word Hebrew simply means "stranger" or "wanderer".
About 2,000 BC Abram came to Canaan from a family of "Hebrews" in Ur, in southern Iraq.
The first Biblical reference to "Hebrew" appears in Genesis 14:13 prior to Abram being renamed Abraham.
Several generations later, in Genesis 40:15 Joseph refers to his "being stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews". That land was Canaan where lived Hebrew's Jacob and his other 11 sons and families.

Factoid of the day number 2:

Some scholars speculate the word Hebrew comes from one of several Patriarch's named "Eber", the third post-diluvian patriarch after Shem (Gen. 10:24; 11:14). He is regarded by some as the founder of the Hebrew race (10:21; Num. 24:24). In Luke 3:35 he is called Heber.

But we don't know how many other peoples were called Hebrews since we don't know much about Abram's family in Ur or elsewhere. Were Abram's parents also called Hebrews? And their parents? And theirs? There were lots of Hebrews running loose around the world, at least at that place and that time, and we don't know if they were all related, or some were just random "wanderers".

Abraham was born perhaps 150 years before Jacob/Israel from who's sons come the label "Israelites". This was ~1,000 years before King David, and ~1,600 years before any of his many offspring were referred to as "Jews".

Factoid number 3:

A Semite is any descendent of Shem.

Shem was a son of Noah and great-great grandfather of Abraham, who was a great grandfather of Jacob/Israel.

Shem has very many offspring including the Arabs, Babylonians, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Phoenicians, Hebrews, and Israelites. All are called "Shemites" or Semites.

What is an Israelite?

An Israelite is a descendent of Jacob, who was renamed Israel.

Jacob had 12 sons. Those sons, and all of their descendents are Israelites.

Since only those who descended from Israel can be Israelites, that excludes Jacob himself and all who preceded him like Abraham, Isaac and the other Old Testament Patriarchs.

What is a Jew?

A Jew is any descendent of one of the 3 tribes of Israel which made up the Southern Kingdom.

The Southern Kingdom of Israel was comprised of the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi. It was also known as the Kingdom of Judah or House of Judah. The remaining 10 tribes made up the somewhat larger Northern Kingdom, also known as the House of Israel.

The Southern Kingdom Israelites were known as Judeans after the province of Judea which was their home. Judea in turn was named for Judah, one of the 12 sons of Jacob/Israel.

In 587 BC the Southern Kingdom was taken captive by the Babylonians, and those Israelites were taken to Babylon and held for 70 years. Only ~50,000 Judeans returned to Palestine at the end of their captivity. Some remained behind in Babylon, and a few others settled elsewhere.

These post-captivity Southern Kingdom refugees and their offspring were nick-named "Jews", for the Judean province which was their home. Other Judeans who eluded the captivity also shared the name. Northern Kingdom Israelites were not called Jews.

One Jewish writer opined there are at least 3 broad categories of Jews today, and his analysis went something like this: (Many may fit into more than one overlapping category.)

GENETIC Jews: Hereditary Jews are descended from one of the 3 Israelite tribes which made up the Southern Kingdom of Israel living in Judea after the split of the Davidic Kingdom. The largest was the Tribe of Judah, named after Judah who was one of 12 sons of Israel, and their Judean home was called The Kingdom of Judah. When these "Judeans" were taken into Babylonian exile about 575 BC they were colloquially referred to by their captors as "Jews", the first time the word Jew is found.

RELIGIOUS Jews:

Type (1) A small group of "Orthodox Jews" who rigorously follow the religious precepts handed down from the earliest Israelites long before there was a sub-category of Israelite called "Jew". Only a tiny percent of Jews are "Orthodox".

Type (2) The much larger group of "Reform Jews" who do not rigorously follow the religious precepts handed down from the earliest Israelites. They follow a modified type of Deity worship, if any, and are primarily 'Humanists'. Reform Judaism does not believe the Torah was written by G-d. Few Reform Jews claim to be 'seriously religious'.

SECULAR or CULTURAL Jews: A "Cultural Jew" is one who enjoys the ethnic, social, cultural, political and perhaps even religious aspects of being "Jewish". These "Jews of Convenience" may or may not have genetic Israelite roots.

What is the House of Israel/Northern Kingdom?

The very large Northern Kingdom of Israel was made up of 10 of the Tribes.

Inheriting the Kingly names which applied to all 12 Tribes before the split, the Northern Kingdom (alone) became known as the Kingdom of Israel or House of Israel, (also House of Joseph, House of Ephriam, House of Isaac, and House of Omri), and was led by the northern Tribe of Ephraim.

What is the House of Judah/Southern Kingdom?

The slightly smaller Southern Kingdom was made up of the Tribe of Judah & a mix of Levites and Benjamites.

It was also known as the Kingdom of Judah or House of Judah. These Southern Israelites (aka Judeans) were taken captive in ~587 BC and removed to Babylon. Only ~50,000 Judeans returned to Palestine ~70 years later.

The offspring of the House of Judah are called Jews.

What was the Davidic Kingdom?

David took over rulership of the large and contentious but weak Kingdom of Israel from Saul in 1010 BC and quickly built it into "perhaps the single most powerful kingdom on earth at that time". (REF: Halley's Bible Handbook.)

These combined Israelites made up about 10% of the global population of 50 Million people. (If compared to today's 6 Billion world population, these Israelites relative population size was over twice as large as the United States of America today! This in a very thinly populated world with only 1/100 the number of people as today.)

Following the death of David and Solomon the Tribes split into a Northern Kingdom of Israel, (taking with it 10 tribes plus the Title Kingdom Of Israel along with the birthright promises), and a Southern Kingdom of Judah (which took 3 tribes and the scepter promises).

The Kingdom of Israel had about half again as many Israelites as the Kingdom of Judah at that time. This ratio increases spectacularly over time as the Kingdom of Israel experiences normal population growth but the Kingdom of Judah shrivels to it's tiny size today.

Bombadil,
If you quote from the Torah, remember that was changed by the Jews from what was written to what was acceptable to them.
Abraham was indeed born in Ur, (Iraq present day), after his trial in the fire where he was saved by Allah, he traveled west thru present day Syria. He was given a slave girl by his wife Sarah, whose name was Hajjar. Hajjar gave birth to his firstborn son Ishmael. When Ishmael was still a baby, they traveled to Mecca (Saudi Arabia) where Abraham and Ishmael built the foundations of the Kaaba, and where his footprints are still on display today.

The Arabs are descendants of Ishmael and the Jewish line as you say are descended from Jacob (Israel). Hence the Arabs are in fact older than the Jews.

You can't be talking to me. You don't have a clue what I watch or think. Best to keep the mouth shut than opening it & removing all doubt. When are you going to sound knowledgeable about anything? :asskick:
