Welcome to the lab. To start things off, my hybrids are
Bubba Bubble, (Bubba Kush x Blueberry x Sour Bubble) &
Candy99, (Cotton Candy x Cinderella99)

At the time I have 3 Bubba Bubble & 1 Candy99 in Foxfarm soil 1 month veg from seed. Currently popping 5 more Candy99 beans & 3 more Bubba Bubble beans to encourage a fem. I am also running a dwc setup with a mother, Dutch Treat which I think is a pure sativa strain. Would appriciate any info if anyone knows the strain. So here I go with my new grow room. Will eventuallly construct a small lightprood veg room beneath and use the table for flowering. Am also in the process of sewing a cover to fit with reflective lining and lightproof similiar to a HydroHut. Will be updating regularly.

Peace

These are hybrids from a friend. A mad scientist if you will. I owe a great deal to this person because for the last year I've grown with poor genetics. This will be my 1st go with some real juicy meds.

Well as far as construction, I kept it simple. I got some 1" pvc piping and cut 4 pieces at around 80" to make the support poles. Then I cut 4 pieces at 4' for the top & 4 more pieces at 4' for the bottom. I purchased 8 90 degree elbows, 8 cross T Sections & 8 3 way Half T sections. The top & bottom were built the same except I ran a cross bar for my top section so I had a way to hang my 1st set of lights. Dry fitted everything & ran with it a few days to ensure functionality then glued everything as strait as possible without leveling, except the top and bottom of the 4 support poles. That way I can break down the unit for moving or storage. As for the table, it was the same basic construction with pvc & fittings. 4' X 4', 2ft high, with a 4x4 wood top as to fit in my hut. Future plans are to buy 10 mylar emergency blankets (56" X 80") & enough black canvas fabric to make the reflective inside & outside cover. Will be sewing everything together & fitting to such specs similar to a Hydro Hut with zipper openings & such. Also looking forward to fitting thick black vinyl to hang with velcro around from top to the bottom of the table to make a 2ft veg room underneath, keeping all growing contained in 1 area.

Phew, time to get stoned after writing all that. . . Ok

I will provide pictures of all the progress. As a matter of fact, 3 Bubba Bubble beans have popped tonight so tomorrow I will plant those & update with pics.

Peace

Oh, sorry if you were referring to the light bar, its a basic 8 light fixture from your favorite home store. Then screw in y-sockets to provide for 16 lights.
:) Happy Growing!

Ok, back at it again folks. So I started 5 more candy99 & 3 more Bubba Bubble so thats 6 Bubba Bubble & 6 Candy99. Hopefully I can dig up Something nice out of the 12. I decided to add another light bar with 8 lights for my seedlings. Unfortunately I still cant afford a hps, but someday soon. Im uploading some new pics of the lab. Still wanting to get my cover made to ensure a more stable environment. Here we grow again. That last pic's just for jokes ;)

Thanks Hank. I've notice such a difference in the way these strains smell compared to my other grows. I never thought that there would be such a strong smell from vegging plants. And a much much better smell than anything I've grown. Thank you to the ganja gods! :joint:

Look forward to the buds, bubba bubble and it has blueberry which is usually attractive. Tell us more about the bubba bubble breeding project that went into it, if you know what was used.

Awesome! I'm stoked to see some work getting playtime. Good luck with them babies bro. Everythings looking fabulous. Gonna be rad seeing a great big female up in there. Give my love to the familia.
Just to set you straight on the Candy99. Those are:
Originally when first started they were a mother Nirvana white widow x big bud crossed with 2 males, 1 JW C99 and a Wally C99 pineapple f5. The Candy99 you have are f2 from those. So should be some variety. But the selection was toward speed of flowering, crystallization, density, structure and effect. Should be stout, easily branch, dense buds of sticky gooey. Fast and get your head right. Originally made by nuggetshiner, refined into chili beans. Woot!
Enjoy those and dig this picture of Bubba bubble.

Much appreciated, Berkster. Good looking out, through & through. I'm totally stoked about these beans. Took your advice to the next level and just built a new structure to obtain some more space & head room. I'm just tickled pink when I get of whiff of these ladies. Yes sir, things are on the up & up. First of the year brings a 600 hps so veg time should work out perfect. Looking forward to joining the hps club & getting some bigger yields.
And thanks again for all the help Chili.

Ok guys, I added another light bar for my little seedlings and decided to transplant my 4 month old seedlings. Don't want to obstruct any root development. So anyways, last night I decide to transplant using Happy Frog soil. Now mind you I switched from soil to hydro because I had so many problems. Necrosis, yellowing new growth, spindly scrawny sick plants. So transplant goes sweet. Roots look healthy. Great. I water after transplant to settle my ladies in to their new pots & I figure I might as well Ph my runoff water to see how my media is doing. New soil right out of the bag. 4.0 freaking Ph! Blood red in my vial. I'm freaking out. WTF. So I guess Ill be flushing my soil with some Ph'd stable water to make this right. I cant let my girls sit in acid, I just cant! So here's some pics of the lab. I just cant wait to get some clones & go to hydro. I'd rather be growing meds in dwc while I learn more about this soil thing. Is it me or should my soil be a little more alkali than 4.0,
I mean damn.

I did not add any amendments to my soil. I was very surprised to see such an acidic reading from "fresh" soil. I thought maybe it was caused the peat that was used in the happy frog mixture. I believe I read somewhere that peat moss can become acidic after a certain period of time. I would think that from manufacturing to bagging to shipping and then the shelf time before I purchased the product could be contributing factors but I don't know for sure. But I do know that I would like to have optimum range for my roots. Hank, I just read through the sticky, looked like a large thread that I will have to look at more thoroughly. I know there are certain amendments to add to soil to bring up/down the ph, but for fear of ruining a young crop due to inexperience with soil, this is just not an option right now. Baby steps for me. I just got a hold of some good genetics and am hoping to maintain health. Is the flushing with Ph'd water not a good idea? Do you know if there's a more detailed description of the amendment process with dolomite lime, or is it a "follow the directions on the label" kinda thing?

TG I don't use Happy Frog myself, so not wanting to lead you wrong do a search in oh maybe soil forum and see what you get. Your problem would have been easier to fix before transplanting huh.
