what size grow do i need to have a 100 sq ft canopy, and how can i stagger it so that i get 3lbs a month? im moving to a new county back up in nor cal... thats the rules 100 sq canopy, 99 plants, 3 lbs of weed just trying to keep it legal ;)

I currently run 2000w with 24 buckets in a 4x8 but i will be expanding to the maximum size allowed under that rule....

my ebb n gro system allows for 6 pot expansions so like i said the footprint of 24 buckets is about 4x8 looking to maximize my allotted space....

also i am already sb420 exempt so does any of this even matter?

I would do it exactly like dongle69 setup. Do a search for her grow journal. Pretty much 3 4x8 tables, 6000watts and 32 plants per table. You can set it up to harvest 1 table every 3 weeks. You could even get more than 3lbs per table if your good. Of course you also need a veg room... not sure if that throws your number off.

Yes, (3) 4x8 tables is about 96 sq ft of plant canopy.
You can split the math any way you want to come up with 100 sq ft...
10x10, 5x20 or whatever.
Luckily in Humboldt (county property) there is no limit on plant count.

No plant limit but there is a canopy limit?

Hm... does that apply to outdoor as well? I mean you could have 10 - 15 plants that took up that much room if you wanted them to be stout and wide... Sounds like it is a good thing for people running sog and bad for people growing outdoor.

The 99 plant count limit in Humboldt was changed to unlimited plants in 2004 as long as the canopy is 100 sq ft or less, indoors or out.

Thanks for the info dongle. I have followed your thread for a while, hope to be out there running something similar some time next year.

That is correct...the watts and plant limits are non existent..the problem is nobody wants to get popped with over 99 plants IF that happens to be the case you're beyond the federal minimum for sentencing for 5 years (99 plants is the limit) hence why you hear people never trying to go over 99.

Except, the feds now won't get involved if an MMJ grower is following state laws, which does let us exceed 99 plants if growing for more than a few patients. My grow is legal under state law with 160 plants, since I grow for 7 patients currently (Sonoma county allows 30 plants per patient.) There is no limit to the number of patients in a collective, though now that SB420 has been deemed unconstitutional in California I don't know if this is much of a worry at all. I'd talk to Freedomfighter and Skip about this...

Seperate room with 1k mh for veg and 4k for flower with 20 plants per 1k light with a 10wk strain. Put in 20 prevegged clones and chop 20 ripe plants every 18 days. 80sqft flowering and 20sqft vegging at any given time. You could chop 1k every 2 weeks if you run an 8wk strain. Thats how I'd set it up. :bandit:

Is the 100sq ft of canopy just for your bloom area? Can you have a 100sq ft. bloom and another room for veg?

Now does that 100 sq ft canopy apply if you are part of a collective growing on behalf of other members? I mean that pretty much means you would have to have multiple grow operations in different locations if you were growing on behalf of a collective right?

No you can have multiple Dr.s recommendations per site, and grow as a collective. It's 100 square feet per patient. I grow for 7 patients and my canopy exceeds 100 square feet, all nice and legal.
