the whole thing is a mistery to me,,,,,,we need Sherlock Holmes

"Perhaps Watson, when a man has special knowledge and special powers like my own, it rather encourages him to seek a complex explanation when a simpler one is at hand. "

"Chance has put in our way a most singular and whimsical problem, and its solution is its own reward. "

"Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot. Not a word! Into your clothes and come!"

"It is always awkward doing business with an alias."

"There can be no question, my dear Watson, of the value of exercise before breakfast. "

My dear Watson, you as a medical man are continually gaining light as to the tendencies of a child by the study of the parents. Don't you see that the converse is equally valid. I have frequently gained my first real insight into the character of parents by studying their children."

Might be worth sending Dr. de Forti an email asking him to define more clearly his definition of 'skunk', as he seems a little confused, to say the least. I often wonder why these studies don't concentrate specifically on high-THC landrace sativa strains if they're so excited about low-CBD modulation effects - that way they could get an absolute idea of whether high-THC weed is responsible.

I suspect they're just too damn ignorant of the botanical aspects of their work, and far too concerned about the socially-influencing policy decisions that might result from their research.

This is fucking hilarious
there is this kid I know, only have had to hang out with him because he's my girlfriend's friend's boyfriend... one of "those" senarios...
Anyways me and my girlfriend smoke daily, multiple times and these people do NOT... haha...

he's always asking me if I smoke "Skunk Weed" and that "Skunk Weed" is the BEST like he knows what the FUCK he's talking about

so fucking ignorant these people, they just told us they dont want to come over to our house anymore because they are uncomfortable with how often we smoke... they want us to ONLY go over by them and smoke OUTSIDE in winter temps.... hahaha

Why must Cannabis always be demonized?

It is frightening reading.

It is another example of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) being used against cannabis...Also pretty handy for a Govt still reeling punch drunk from Prof Nutt and the other ACMD rebels attack...

Hmm, is it a coincidence it was released so soon after Prof Nutt's rebuttal, and supports with science the Govts moralistic view so closely, and undermines Prof Nutt's opinions?

What i think is most inflammatory is that we have paid taxes, no doubt, to drive this research.

Foul, Stinking Govt of ineffective Half-wits.

deathtosoapbar

This "skunk psychosis" is just a pile of bullshit that i get tired of hearing, as far as the UK situation is concerned over here we had years of "soapbar" hash, basically petrol, sleeping pills ketamine boot polish engine oil etc etc sold as hash...and guess what? Yeah smokin that shit WILL drive you mentally ill...so people years ago believing what they were smokin was just clean hash go a bit crazy go to the doctors, the doc asks them if they smoke cannabis they say yes...and all this builds up to the point were there appears to be endless cases of cannabis psychosis...which in reality is to do with contaminated hash ...i mean the doc didnt ask was it skunk, hash or dogshit just do u smoke cannabis...its this contaminated shit that has caused mental illness and cannabis gets the blame...disgraceful, im appalled at the shit hash that was peddled around the UK, the US have no clue how lucky they are weedwise..mexican brick is fukin luxury in comparison to soapbar hash...people say weed will drive u mental and i say "oh really? Well wheres all the "mental" people in holland due to skunk psychosis? " or the US?"...there is none becuase they did not have soapbar hash like the UK...

concerning inductive vs deductive logic.
goes to show the inverted state of opening of consciousness that 'drugs' will get ya, huh?:smokeit:

try acid if you really want an "inverted state of opening of consciousness"...

do the researchers even bother to understand that 'skunk" is just a smell that some plants can produce?
they dont even realize skunk is mostly used as slang or to describe phenotypes among bagweed.

next thing i was expecting to read was that "trainwreck" actually causes 75% of railroad accidents.

Bullshit article said:
while regular cannabis resin has an average THC of around 3.4 percent and an equal amount of cannabidiol.

Wow, hash with 3.4% THC? That's some REALLY BAD soapbar right there... Also, I wanna see the FULL TEXT of this study before I believe anything they say, and the whole differentiation between "skunk" and "normal cannabis" is bullshit as well, skunk is just what the brits call good weed... They act like it's a whole different drug.

EDIT: Ahhh, I have found the culprit:

Bullshit article said:
And among all those who had used cannabis -- from both the healthy group and the psychotic group -- those with psychosis were almost seven times more likely to use skunk, a finding the researchers described as "striking."

Of course, the old trick: Deliberately mistaking correlation for causation. Well, here's some news, reuters: Statistics doesn't work that way! Nobody knows why and when those people started smoking "skunk", and my guess would be it's because it helps their illness, but of course no one gives a shit about that, yeah right. I hate people who manipulate statistics for their benefit, and I definitely hate reuters.
