My happiness isn't the product of my financial situation.
I chalk it up to my good looks, charming personality, smarts, and tight family and friends.
I was happy before I was financially secure, too.
I have met quite a few rich folks that weren't happy.
Solid 8 most days...

Is it a learned thing or is it largely out of my control?
I've done everything I can and just can't square, or envision, a workable, livable scenario in which I'm happy.
I've read all the right books. Tried out different perspectives. Lived in isolation and in a house with 5 roommates.
I suck.

Maybe I should get out of this thread or I could become depressed and start dropping points.
a common occurrence happens in a human's life, usually later rather then sooner... but if you ever wonder why people so much worse off then you still seem to operate in this world, its because we are all supposed to reach a point where we are just happy for what we have, even if at very least the ability to breathe and smell flowers. and most of us do reach this mindset, eventually. its a beautiful thing really, its one of those organizational things that happens in this universe without any real explanation.
