Hey guys so I picked up some sage x mountain jam today. As far as I know it came from vancouver island. Its really really nice. I havent gotten this high in quite a while, best of all - at least for my own purposes - its a really mischeavious giggly high. The smell and the taste are amazing. Its kinda hard to describe, I dont havel the best palate. It overwhelms me in flavour so i have trouble picking out the individual tastes. Anyway I'm really really stoked about this, just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about it? Has anyone else got this strain and what did they think of it?

I've grown SAGE and MJ individually not crossed. Both were good but I prefered the SAGE. MJ reminded me of a slightly more potent sweettooth #3 selection imo. SAGE on the other hand (the girl I kept) was very very potent debilitating, sky high, type herb with a solid yield that made the 84 days it took to mature worth it. The bubble from the lowers and the trim was absolutely incredible. Made seasoned tokers curl under. HaHaaaa! :joint:

Hey jack and mixin, thanks for your replies. I've never tried either of the two as separate strains. But now after hearing what you guys have to say I want to get a hold of some sage. I heard though that there's a lot of sages going around, the same way there's so many white widows. Is that true? Do you have to be careful about whether you're getting proper sage or just something watered down?

Dogscot,
I found my SAGE outta a pack of beans I bought years back. If I remember correctly I ended up with 5 or 6 girls. There was variation no doubt, but not wide variations. The smoke from all the girls was solid. Some better than others, obviously, and I only had room to keep 1 girl. Made the best selection I could from what I had to choose from. I'm sure you could find a SAGE clone out there that would produce stellar bud if you have the trusted connects. I think there are alot of bunk ass cuts out there going by all sorts of "kind" names. LOL. Just order a couple packs of SAGE beans and run through them. You will find a keeper pheno that way, no doubt in my mind. And the one you keep will be YOUR selection not someone else's idea of what is a good SAGE plant. It is, after all, highly subjective imho. Take care.

Hey jackbaybeh. I really appreciate the reply, it had a lot of good things to say in it. Yeah Ill see about getting a hold of some sage, but theres so many other things right now that Im also excited about, its hard to know what to do. anyway thanks for the reply. Seems that sage is rather popular amongst the people.

Haven't tried the SAGE x MJ, but weh I tried SAGE last year, it knocked me on my ass. I loved it! I would list it as one of my top three strains for sure. I can't put my finger on what it tasted like, but the flavor was very intense and the high was incredible. Be sure to give us all a smoke report if possible.

my experience was with a bag of sage n' sour that i bought a while back. the smell was perfectly different and it smoked just about better than anything i had tried previously. so i recently picked up 10 sage n' sour and 5 sage just to search for a killer combo.

Alright as requested by B. Self Reliant here is my smoke report of the sage x mountain jam. I won't use a template. Ill simply go with four categories. And maybe a little of my own extra input if necessary. These categories will be physical appearance, smell, taste, and high. I saw that somewhere although I can't remember who said it so I can't give credit. Anyway im about to roll up a joint of this.

Firstly let us touch upon appearance. It looks absolutely glorious. I don't know exactly who grew this, somewhere around bc I believe, but it looks amazing. The bud is a light green but it's hard to make out since it's covered in beautiful orange pistils. To be perfectly honest theres more orange than green to be seen. As for trichs I wouldn't say it's plastered with them but it definitely has a generous portion. The buds are small and semi-dense. Good trim job as well, respect to the grower.

Right smell. This is a hard one. For me a least. The problem is that the smell is so damn strong that it's almost overwhelming. Its hard to concentrate and pull out the actual smell of it all rather than just saying "Damn!". I will try to extricate it for you now. I guess it kind of reminds me of an orange peel. But not in an overpoweringly unpleasant way. No. Its got some more undertones to it. Fruity undertones. Thats about the best I can do. Sorry, its not that informative but let me say it smells AMAZING!!! Upon further smelling actually I can pick up some blueberry in there. Lets say blueberry lemon peel, but verging more towards the lemon peel.

Ok time to roll the joint and smoke so I can move onto taste... Right now that the joint is rolled and bob is playing i can continue (I know that sounds ridiculously cliche, listening to bob, but I just really wanted to listen to "Is this love"). Ok so this is the hardest one for me. I dont have the best palate. Anyway Ill try my best. Its very much the way it smells just less lemon peel. I'd say kind of like a tropical fruit salad. Thats about the best i can do.

Ok high. This is the best part. This weed is really really awesome, depending on what you like of course! So its mega giggly and just "I'm really high and happy!". That's a good way to describe it. Its really up there but not racy. Just very happy. But it has a darker edge to it... it makes me rather mischevious. Not on any large scale. Just I like to piss off my room mates after smoking this. They hate it, but I have a great time.

And so concludes my smoke report. Sage x mountain jam is a rather fine specimen. I would jump on any chance to get some more, let alone grow it. If you get the opportunity I suggest you take a little gander. Who knows? You might like what you find. I know I did.
