Have already done some moderate LST to two of the sours and the nycd.
As you can see one of the sours is a little behind the rest, it had some heavy yellowing when rooting and has not caught up with the other two.

They are growing fast, just gave them all 1/4 Bigbloom and Growbig 2 days ago they have responded well!

Temps are usually 65-69 w/ just the veg bulb. Low 70's when tested all lights on. Very dry here, I'm just soaking towels for humidity right now,
( which works better than you may think ) and not testing ph or anything yet, just using tap water that is left out to evaporate the chlorine for a day or two.

Will be switching to flower in about 4 days, these two strains are both about 70-80 days!!!

Thanks for checking this out! Feel free to comment....

Overwatering looks like to me .. always starts on lower leaves and works its way up ..

I had rockwool cube seedlings dropped into perlite/vermiculite mix and found the rockwool would act like a spounge sucking in too much water causing root rot and slow growth.

I had to carefully rip apart the rockwool and get seedlings out and just dropped them right into the perlite/vermiculite.The plants survived and growing them now.If you look at my photos your plants look like what mine did when in rockwool -->http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=131601

people say you can drop rockwool cubes into whatever but this is not the case.If you want to grow in rockwool then leave it in rockwool and just buy bigger rockwool cubes or get coco or clay balls and drop the rockwool seedlings into that.

Rockwool acts like a spounge and this causes stale bad water that drowns your baby seedlings root systems causing slow growth it's whole life.

I will never use rockwool ever again ... I hate the shit ..I know this for fact because I setup a grow for a mate and he has followed my instructions and hes plants seem slower growing then my setup and the only difference is he left his in rockwool and dropped into perlite/vermiculite.

hey what's up,

not sure about the fan leaves...(I think nute burn)(or maybe over watering)
and no I don't think you'r grow is bad at all.....very nice....
I have a 36Hx18Wx15D (156 watt cfl's=10,500 lumens) flower box....I will have pics in a day or two...would like to hear your input....I have some (pure power plant's) and some (top 44's):joint:peace

I would be worried if those where mine. I used the same soil and nutes a few months back. I think that you should go out and get yourself a PH tester and flush them out with PH'd water at 6.5. Ocean Forest has plenty of stuff in it so I usually don't give them nute for up to 3 weeks, depending on the size of my pots. For your pots I wouldn't have fed them for at least 2 weeks. And I thought you already fed them a few days ago. They didn't need anymore. I only feed my soil plants once a week - 10 days. Give just plain PH'd water in between. Less is better than more. I barely fed my sour diesel and got a really nice dense bud. Oh and when you do feed, make sure they are not bone dry when you give them feed. If they are really dry just use water and wait. The way that you know if your plants need to be watered is when the pot feels just as heavy as when you packed your original soil in the pot.

For 23w 's ( Which all bulbs are currently "2700k" or "Yellow" or also called "Warm"-Used a Basic Porcelain Light Fixture mount, $1-2 at home depot or walmart. and used lamp repair kits for cords ( also $1-2 at same locations. You could also find this stuff at any hardware store- they are just basic sockets. The 125w bulb is currently "6500k" or "White" or " Daylight". Bulb was about $60 through a Hydrofarm retailer and the mogul socet and plug was about $15 from the same place.

I am planning to use this spectrum mix until about week 3 of flower than I think I will switch the 125w bulb to 2700k. ( I may swap out a couple 23w's to keep a mix though. - Still undecided.

Update time- about two weeks of flower now, things are looking pretty...
Had a little event during the week, the NYCD was badly drooping due to under watering. She perked back up right away and I started watering a little heavier overall than what I was. The girls are loving it. With their stage of flower, the water increase after overly dry conditions, and the 2700k bulbs, they are exploding ( and strectching a little ) Just ph'd water at this point. Still got the blue 125w in....

Sour Diesel #1
Tips still look crispy but she is growing great and proving to still be #1 cut.

Sour Diesel #2

Sour Diesel #3
Although I vowed not to, I tied this girl down about two days ago. She grew about 2 inches in one single night this week. Hard to believe she was the runt. ( Just found out a couple of the mothers have hit 4-5 ft in week 6 lmao)
Photo0102.jpg

NYCD
Already smells pretty good, obviously has more indica traits than the sour d's.
Photo0099.jpg

Lady Hasplant. She took a little longer to pop a pistil but she is already way ahead of all the others. Definitely a pure indica, check it out - she's 3 finger ONLY

Photo0097.jpg

The two bag seedlings, the shire (on the right) has lots of roots now and just started growing a little bit in the last two days really, but the hollands hope (on the left)is starting to become a little lady.
Photo0098.jpg

Thanks Kweb. Lmao also, I didn't notice at first that but that is funny - all those books were my girlfriends that she was throwing out, others include chicken soup for the teenage soul (1,2,3) , and some college text books. Perfect reading for a cab full of girls. :xmasnut: Who knows, maybe it will make the bud better or something :tree:
( still laughing )

Looks excellent dude. One thing you can do with the ones in beer cups, if you don't want to transplant, is fill them up on top - the plant will shoot roots out of the newly covered stem. If you still want to transplant I'd get on that asap - give it time to make some roots in the new medium before it dedicates all/most of it's energies to making bud.

Well I've been slacking but here are finally some pictures. We are at about week 4 of flower. (and when I say that I mean from the day I switched the lights.) I haven't fed them anything but PH'd water until tonight I gave them all a mix of Big Bloom and some Sea Bird Guano Soup. The New York Diesel is the only plant that got Tiger Bloom instead of the Guano. I changed my mind and decided to experiment a little bit with nutes and wanted to test my Dad's recipe and try to stay mostly organic. I am still using my mixed spectrum set up ( 125w 6500k + 138 w 2700k )and have decided stay with it until the Hashplant is done. If I have density issues with that harvest I will switch to full 2700k but I'm thinking things are looking good and my frost is starting to get ridiculous. ( I wish my camera on my phone did it justice!)

Well I transplanted these two about a week ago. Shire is on the left and Holland's Hope on the right. ( Bagseed ). The Hollands Hope had just shot out some pistils 2 days before the transplant and obviously stretched like a goddamn swag plant. The Shire does have pre-flowers but nothing quite yet. ( 2 for 2 )

Photo0147.jpg

This is the plant formally known as SD #1 supposed to be a Hawaiian Sativa ( Obvoiusly not going to take 84 days to flower though so I doubt it ) or an AK 47 ( More likely I guess ). It became obvouis because it's maturing faster, whiter pistils, and stinks the a fucking pinapple...bad

Photo0148.jpg

This is SD #2. Definitely can tell its a slower developer with yellow pistils and already smells like a big ass bag of SD. Yum Yum

Photo0149.jpg

This is SD#3. ( The Runt LOL) She may end up being the biggest producer of all the plants.

Photo0150.jpg

And just a little close up on the lower canopy.

Photo0151.jpg

This is the New York Diesel. This is the only girl who got the Tiger Bloom Fertilizer rather than the only organic mix. I chose her because she took to the first feeding I gave them back in veg the best.

Photo0145.jpg

And here we have the current star of the show.... The Hashplant. She already has more crystals than most of the 47 strains at my local dispensary. She could be done in as early as 2 1/2 weeks so she got a real light feeding. Smells like cotton candy.

Photo0141.jpg

Here's a pic with the flash to show a little more frost on my shitty camera phone.

Photo0134.jpg

And finally an attempt of a close up from a couple days ago.

excellence. hey man, are you having to move your lights throughout the grow or are you training them really low? the buds are looking tasty. also, i may be totally uninformed, but a six inch pc fan sounds like a big one. i need something bigger than the standard sized one i need...are those hard to find?? i'd like to see how it's mounted if you have a picture!

good work overall, cap'n!

MagicBOX.jpg

The fan is from radio shack it was like $20-$25. Can't take a pic at the exact moment but hopefully this shitty diagram I drew will explain good enough. I started training straight from clone and I had them propped up about 8" in the first couple weeks. I used these DVD/CD mini crates that were a buck at walmart. They worked good beause the holes let air flow freely under the plants as I was getting temp issues using books.

Thanks for the feedback fellers.

Dude, that's so funny-I am using those plastic cd tubs for the same thing! Thanks for the diagram. I'm working with some 18 gallon rubbermaidens at the moment and it looks like i've got similar vertical space, so this kinda adds some food for thought; i do wish i had space/access to a top shelf area like you've got. How do you feel about that 125er that you got in there? I'm still in veg and have 2 2700k 42ers plus a 23w warm white (i think 2700k too), but have thought about either putting in a couple more 42s in for flower or buying one of those big ass cfls.

As far as that fan, I'm gonna have to go and see if they have one of those down at my local shack. That certainly seems like it could push a good amt of air. You doing anything for odor control?? Those bitches sure look stinky.

LIght

I like the light so far. I think if I did it again I would of just set up 3 mogul sockets with 3 125w. I just think that they would run so much cooler than what I have now and be over 100 more watts. It also would cut down the amount of cords I have, could have used just one surge protector, yada yada.... I swear the 125w is the same temp as a 23w!!!! My temps stay within 10 degrees of the outside air and you guys won't believe me if I said it but my temps now are running about 64-67degrees in light and 59-60degrees in dark. ( brrrrrrrr )

Smell

I did have a 6" curved piece of pvc with carbon filters inside but it restricted my air flow way too much. I have a thick black curtain installed on the inside of my closet that keeps it pretty sealed to within the closet so far.......but I'm hoping some Ona gel will be enough once it starts creeping out of the closet. That fan is like 20w and I think it claimed like 65cfm- If I didn't have the whole closet to stink up I would install another fan on my exhaust and hook up the pvc scrubber. I think its a great fan even if you need two due to the very quiet operation.

So what's the plan if the ona and...a curtain... isn't enough to cover it? Diesels are the stinkiest plants around, so I hope you work out a better plan bro. Too many unended grows on here, and there is a pretty high ratio of non-carboner-filterers amongst those. I guess everyone's living situation is different though.
