Any one use smartpots indoors? Any mold issues on the smartpots? any disadvantages over regular plastic pots?

I used em, 48 of the #2's, some algae growth on outside at water level, using ebb n flow, with coco, watered every day once, no pearlite so probly coulda watered less...dont think I will use em again, even though they were about 5 bucks each, ouch. usually use 1 gal plastic grow bags. havent emptied and tried to clean em yet, so dunno how the root mass is, although lotsa lil airpruned roots stickin through...

there is a good thread about Smart Ports here

I use them and like them but it is my first grow so I don't have anything to compare it too, I plan to switch to RDWC for my third grow

I do, I used them with coco chips, coco peat, and finally FFOF indoors in trays. i love them, they're sturdy, reusable, I can wash 30-40 at a time in my washing machine, and they stuff into a box or sack when not needed. They're even fireproof, I had a light crash on a few and they just melted, no flames. I like the way the medium dries out evenly in them, very few wet and dry spots.

im using them in a side by side with plastic pots in my 90 plant grow in my signature. not to impressed at all, they are not doing any better then the plants in plastic pots. the only thing impressive is there price, $2.95 compared to 79 cents for gallon. but when i do cut them down, i will separate to see if there is any difference in weight.

The only concern i had with them was there soft and could damage your root structure if care isnt taken when moving them around(for watever reason).
