You need to leave a few buds and there fan leaves on .They reveg right out of a bud .Give it 1/4 strength veg nutes and plenty of light .It can take 2-3 weeks even longer depending on strain .Only plants that have failed to reveg for me were done under a 100 watt cfl so I atribute the failure to low light conditions

and watch for pure indicas...they are also hard to reveg...:2cents:

i agree with what was said ya have to make sure that some leaves remain then just swap it. i have noticed ya will see some weird growth 3 leaves etc. after a few weeks every thing should start to look getter though. and as far as cloning goes i would stay away form the weird growth dont know if it matters though. good luck

you have to leave some of the little un-developed growing shots on the bottom of the plants PLUS the little non developed buds always at the very bottom of the plant with as much leafs as possible.
Its important to cut away part of the root ball according to the size of the material that you have left on the plant to restart.
Than the smaller root ball remaining from the cut has to be planted in fresh soil..
than all you need is some 18/6 veg light not too close.. treat it almost as a cutting(clone) if you want them to have a faster recover and more chances from them to reveg..
i noticed some plants are kinda harder to reveg.. but the main factor is how much material there is left on the very bottom of the stalk ..
good luck!

I have done this before. It works but the plantwill be confised for like a month. The leaves start to look like ivy leafs.

thanks for the info, I was wondering, will the strain lose any vitality?
I am figuring if one was to harvest, reveg and then intend on using it for a mom, would this be a plan for success?

you won't have a loss in vitality.
i have a small space and am constantly re-vegging good phenos after they are flowered out and harvested.
revegged plants make great moms . they tend to throw off tons of shoots to take cuttings from.
just wait until she is fully re-vegged (when normal growth resumes) before taking cuttings.
i use plain water for the first week or so, then low strength (1/4 - 1/2) veg nutes until normal growth, then full strength veg nutes after that.

i have a quick question about the re-veg too.

do i leave the already harvested stalk with some leaves on it? or just chop it off and leave a few healthy branches like i was topping it?
i found a strain in a mix of clones that i want to keep for sure. huge buds and stinky as hell.
