Whats the verdict on bulbs that have a built in reflector? Do they work as good as a regular bulb with a good hood? Do they stay as cool as an air cooled hood? Do they offer as good a light distribution? Whats the upside other than not spending money on a hood? What do they cost compared to a bulb and hood? Do they come in 1000W? Are these stupid questions? Let me have it.

More than a regular bulb, less than a bulb + hood.

Not sure.
I have used the 600w version.

Thanks. Anyone tried a 1000W. Sounds like they are BS then.

one can say this and that.. I would stick to high priced laboratory light meters and testing equipment of said "professionals" to generate reports comparing the in question bulb with reflector vs. "normal" bulbs, to come to a decisive conclusion to end debate of stated question generated by, HUMBOLDTLOCAL

I can't tell if you need to smoke more weed, or less?
You will need a high priced laboratory vaporizer of said "stoners" to generate hallucinations.

Gavita/Agrosun Relfctorized bulbs ONLY come in 600w HPS. Their rated lumen output is 95K lumens though, 5K higher than anythign else I could find. Works out to 158 lumens per watt, the highest I've seen yet.
