my new hydro tent

whats up everybody heres what im keeping in the closet
started finally i think i got every thing dialed in ph 5.5 drifts up to 6.2 every 16 hours system ran for 2days prior no leaks roomtemp 78-82.6 humidy around 73% drip running 24/7 at moment and i put clear plastic wrap over net pot to increase humidity a minute ago should i keep runnin the drip 24/7 ? its keepin the rockwool wet but not directly hitting it. also i noticed when i put the plastic wrap on the buckets the humidity in the tent went down to 47% is that cause its bein held in by the plastic?take it off maybe i put it loose and left a big air gap for ventillation good idea bad idea
seeds went directly into rw and into system 10:30pm 11/19
any input is welcomed as i am new to this site

High humidity can be deadly. You want to cut RH by 50% or more. Lose the plastic.

took off the plastic it looked cheesey i only put it on cause i didnt germ the seeds in anything i soaked the rw in ph'd water and popped the seed right in and put it in the bucket under the lights thought it would act as a dome should i be runnin the drip constantly so they dont dry out i eventually plan on runnin it 24/7 thanks for the advice

thanks for stoppin by yep 2 ufos if i like em i will get 1 more and i plan on adding some cfls down the line i was also looking into these led red spec bulbs that screw into a normal fixture just like a cfl for some light under my canopy instead of using cfls once i get a canopy in undecided

allrighty i woke up today which is day3 since i put the seeds in and 5 of the 6 are above the rockwool lookin good wasnt expecting anything this fast 1 of the bb fell deeper in the rockwool but i look in the hole and its comin up everything looks good im suped on how fast they are takin off ill keep checkin on them it seems like every few hours theyre makin progress

whats up everybody its day 5 now all 6 are showing looking good i turned the drip off for a few hours and saw a yellow on the end of one of the new leaves so i will not turn it off again my ph is good i lower it everymorning back down to 5.4-5.6 from 6.2-6.3 temps are good im thinking of putting a very light does of thrivealive green in a few of the buckets tonight what do you think i dont want to add any real nutes for atleast another week but i heard this is good for seedlings to give them a boost in rooting my buddy uses it on his clones so i think it may help the sprouts thanks for your input pics will be posted 2night

im running the drip constantly now thinking about adding thrivealive green a very light dose i have about 2.5gal in each bucket so i was thinking about adding 1gallon dose or is it to early my buddy uses it with cones to help root them is it the same for seedlings

Cool little grow. Your ph levels are a bit low. 5.8-6.2 is prime.
I like those UFO lights and have been seeing several people using them, but haven't seen any finished grows with them so please don't fall off the face of the earth like the others. I want to see what they will produce.

Actually 5.2 has also been very successful for me in various hydro systems. His plants are drifting right through the 5.8 range so they are getting access to the full range of nutes.

Personally I wouldn't give them anything this soon after sprouting, but opinions will vary.

im on day 10 now not sure whats going on with the babies dont look great but i have nice rootsystems and new growth i think i have a salt prob with my tap water and its burnin my leaves i hope they can grow past it and ill put tarps so they dont get sprayed by the drip anymore im runnin the drip 2hour on 2hours off and 4hours on 4hours off keeping an eye making sure not to dry out the rockwool i will not start seeds in the buckets ever again but its to late to change now some of my roots are through the net pot so im gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope they make it i keep my ph adjusted to 5.5-6.3 temps and humidy are good

Can you take some pictures of the plants with the LED light off using the flash? I have been curious as to how the LED's color spectrum effects the chlorophil coloration in the plants. Probably the same shade of green as plants under HID lighting, but I am still curious.

Whats up everyone im on week3 alot has changed good and bad mostly good. i decided to get rid of 2 buckets made everything easier to do in the tent and the 2 bb seedlings looked terrible so i scrapped them. now i got 3lowboldts and 1bb left. i tested my tap water it was 8.5 ph 480ppm ran to the store got a spectrpure ro now i got it down to 0ppm 7.0ph!! whats a difference all are very green and showing new growth everyday. 1 of the boldts is blowing all the rest out of the tent i. i think the other 2boldts and the bb were effected more from the shit water because theyre much smaller just startin to pick upafter the change i currently feeding them a very light dose of conni-a 90ppm and theyre loving it the big girl is getting a stronger dose of conni a and some b52 and sensyzm to a ppm of 230. i add 1ml drop of ph down in the am everyday to bring my ph down to 5.6 from6.3 it should be more stable when i add more nutes
