What supplements do you use with FloraNova line?

I have currently been using GH's FloraNova line for a little over a year now and am quite pleased with the results. I use 4 gal square bubble buckets (non recirculating) My buds get larger and denser than with the 3 part series I used to use and even fan leaves are dusted with trichs.

In veg I only use FN grow & a dash of floraliscious +
In flowering - FN bloom, kool bloom, calmag & floraliscious +

I have gotten good results so far with this mix, but even when I shave down the PPM I get burned leaf tips. The guy @ the hydro store suggested using molasses or adding sugar late in bloom in some other way but I'm a little apprehensive about adding more supplements into an already complicated mixture.

Any suggestions?

veg and bloom - add calmag and keep up with hydroguard/aquaguard
late bloom - kool bloom

adding too many magic potions just confuses things for me

Keep doing it just like you are doing, never ever listen to the hydro store guy, ever. Only light and more time will give you better.

Hey beow.... Just throwing up some thoughts here. Haps is ant joking either. Hydro store guys can sometimes send u in the wrong direction, some especially if there gonna benefit financially from it. But anyways, back to those other thoughts

I'm Just On a 3rd ebb & flo run with GH. 6/9 micro bloom. floralicious +, pk/13/14 . use foliar canna rhizotonic and floralicous+, an foliar again canna bioboost., an foliar purrple maxx after day 45-50 a few times.

Also instead of using a zyme product from the hydro store, i just started using pond powdered enzyme product. Seems worthy so far.

I know the canna additives is expensive. im always trying to find cheaper alternatives. But the rhizo an bio boost work for me, an i see the positive difference. As a foliar they last alot longer anyways.

Also just trying out ruby fulvic acid as well in the first 20 days of 12/12.

Enjoying it so far.

BUT, the other thing.

what could be happening with your tip burn, is your mix in the buckets, with such a small rez it's getting loaded up with excess nutes. Seems your ph is in line, if u are just getting tip burn. Could be, could not.

With such a small bucket as a rez, especially if it is under hid lighting, the plant could be eating thru those nutes in 3-4 days. Stage of growth, strain, lighting, and climate dependent.

Then the plant is leaving whatever the NPK CA MG it didnt take up behind in the nute solution. Then you start to get imbalance's. If u then if add straight water back, your probably better off.

But if you adding back 3/4-full nutes back to the already exhausted nutes in the rez/bucket, its probably showing as burn because of the leftover ppms, and now u just added another 1200 ppm to already 1700 ppm solution. When 1700 was to high for your setup.

Some suggest 1/3 addback. i like to sometimes 1/3 addback if there eating consistent. What i mean consistent is the water is decreasing, and the ppm is barely rising or staying.

But if there drinking water, an my ppm's are rising. i add back straight h20. till they start eating consistant. If that doesnt happen then something else is off.

What " I " an some others agree is ....U should change out the rez or bucket when u add back the same amount fluid to the rez as u originally started with.

example, u start with topped of & nuted 4 gal bucket.
two days later u add back .5 gallons.
three days later u add 1.0 gal.
two days later 1.0 gallon.
two days later 1.5 gallon.

that plant took 9 days to eat 4 gals. change the rez. but i would have went with the 7 day rule there anyways.

BUT, there may be a scenario where your plants drink a gallon a day, then your rez exhausted at 4 days. So you should be changeing your rez every 4 days.

Just some 2 cents thrown out there.

U ever check the ppm of your bucket, or PH?

Best of luck to u an your findings

I use the exact same line with the addition of the molasses. MMMMM....molasses all the way through flush. Check out my diesel and you might change your mind!

smknfire.....i looked at your thread, and wiped the drool off my keyboard.

at what ratio or amount of molasses do you use thru out the flowering process. is it any special kind of molasses, or just from the grocery store ?? also, do you have to dissolve it in plain warm water first....or will it mix into your rez on its own ??

Here's what GH sent with a sample of Flora Nova

Floralicious Plus - (2-0.8-0.02) Organic supplement with 2% humic acid and 20% sea kelp. Can be used at 1 tsp per 5 gallons of water as a supp, .25ml per liter as foliar. Easy to use w/o burning plant leaves.

Kool Bloom Powder - (2-45-28) Bloom supp. GH recommends using it in mid to late flower. I really like this stuff. Instead of using it the way GH recommends, check out REZDOG's thread "The Recipe". It works especially well with heavy yielding varieties.

Kool Bloom Liquid - (0-10-10) Bloom Supp. GH recommends using KBL throughout flower. I haven't used it yet and don't know what results you'll get.

FloraBlend Compost Tea - (0.5-1-1) 100% plant and mineral based according to the label. The label recommends using for germination, cuttings, and all stages of growth. I add this stuff (1 tsp per gal) along with the Floralicious to a 5 gallon bucket after the chlorine has gassed.

FloraNectar - (0-0-1) w/ trace Mg and S. Has 17.5% Cane Sugar, 7.5% Malt Extract and 5% Molasses. The label recommends using it in veg and flower but I only use a tad in flush.

I like pretty much all of this stuff with the exception of Kool Bloom liquid. Although the labels specify how much of each ingredient to use, there's no collective info. I don't have enough info to start using it with most of the other ingredients.

I have the flora nectar on my shelf. I plan on using that in flower. I'm probably going to start using Floralicious Plus in Veg and Flower whenever I get moved to my new place. I have only heard great things about it. As far as the Flora Nova line goes, I love it. Green thumb in a bottle. I've been only using RO water so far. I don't know about y'all, but I get some seriously thick stalks that are hollowed out. This stuff makes a freaking nutrient superhighway in the stems.

I can't find the thread but a grower uses Floralicious Plus and Kool Bloom Powder exclusively. No FloraNova in between. If I can find it I'll post the link.

SpasticGramps - I know exactly what you mean, my girls' stems are identical

DiscoBiscuit - That's a ballsy tactic, I'd love to see pics of full run with that formula

I've been using GH floranova bloom in the blooming stage and it is pretty great. The only thing I add is calmag and molasses in between feeding it nutes. So one watering is just FN bloom, the next is water with some calmag and 1.5 tspns molasses/per gallon. It's been working fantastically and it's very easy.

Edit- Just noticed this is a hydro section (sorry I just scan through new posts), so I'm probably not helping.
