A few of my retail acquaintances are "boycotting" the cheese. Not because it's bad weed, although the general consensus is that it's not the best that's out there, but because of the high price they have to pay to get it wholesale - they simply can't make enough profit out of it compared with other good quality bud that's available for significantly less.
So the two main guys I go to won't sell Cheese, because they are having to pay £200 per oz wholesale, and can't mark it up - one guy gets all righteous and says "I sell 3g for £20 - I won't rip people off". He gets other good weed for £120 - £140 per oz wholesale - and he does get some very nice stuff, on occasion. On other occasions...well, I've smoked more than my share of "Viet Wet" ya know?
I may have smoked Cheese - I've never had anyone sell me stuff that they actually had a name for - but I doubt it, as I've had stinky weed, but never so stinky that one spliff stank the whole house out and penetrated through brick walls etc, as I am led to believe cheese does.
Is Cheese worth the extra? Or is it just all a hype?
