I saw an interview of a rep from the cannabis cafe in oregon the other day, she was praising the oplace as a spot for weary travels that needed a place to safely medicate.... well

could i go smoke at the cannabis cafe in oregon if im visiting from cali or washington and have my legal docs with me?

What is the medical purpose of a "cafe"?

That seems much more like recreational use to me.

When I go to the pharmacy at my local grocery store to pick up my script everyone there doesn't sit around and pop pills and talk about how great it feels.

it's a NORML Cafe. NORML is for full legalization.

there is no medical use whatsoever for alcohol yet people consume it socially. you can't just pretend to live in a vacuum BlueDot. cannabis is here to stay. it should be outright legal as it's one of the safest plants/medicine/drug known to mankind.

But Portland doesn't have full legalization.

They only have med laws like cali.

Seems pretty arrogant to open a recreational cafe and thumb your nose at the meds laws of that state.

Actually I'm an amendment 20 compliant CO caregiver/patient and I support full legalization and I vote. I have no idea what your deal is but arguing anti recreational Cannabis use on IC mag, in any forum, is as douchey as it gets.

This is a MEDICAL forum that's part of the overall icmag.

I believe there can be separation in the law.

There can be one law for medical and one for recreational.

People who abuse the medical laws for their own recreational use are the "douchey" ones because they disrespect all the hard work their ill 'forefathers" did for this movement by even getting a medical law passed.

But hey, way to disrespect Dr. Jay. I'm sure he would be proud.

Dude i've done hard drugs that are addictive, and I've smoke alot of cannabis. Cannabis isn't something people do to get high. i think it's a misconception. most people i know find relief of several symptoms wether or not they are conciously medicating or getting "high".

i was undiagnosed for over a decade with a serious illness that gave me relief from cannabis. was i a recreational user until a manmade government beauracracy told me it was medicinal?

i can't wait until people with your mentality die. how old are you anyway?

if this is a med patient site then i'm sure you signed something stating you are a legal cannabis patient.

How can I deal with any of my Medical issues...if I don't get high--
If they prescribe me Vicodin...I get high...
If they Prescribe my Morphine...I get high...
If they "Recommend" me Cannabis...I am a "Pothead"--
