Flush before pot-up?

I have some plants in 1 gallon grow bags. I am one week into flower and identifying the females and planning to pot-up to 3 gallon bags for the duration. They are mostly healthy but I notice some slight salt build at the drainage holes and upon the tops of the original rapid rooters that the seeds were started in. Some weird discolorations, necrosis that may be some salt build up or pH lock-out. I have not tested the pH of my runoff.

Is it customary or even recommended to flush the girls before a potup? I would do it tonight and then pot-up this weekend.

Straight water (filtered and pHed)?

I have a free-bee size of clearex I received from the gro-sto. It will treat about 16 gallons (32 if used at minimum strength), so there is not enough to go around. I have noticed it is glucose 3.0% and sucrose 1.5%. Can I just drop some sucrose (table sugar) and glucose - dextrose have close to the same thing?

i dont flush before transplant but if you have build up u really need to check your ph in the soil as well as run off.... if your ph isnt rite, you might as well not even feed the plants cuz they cant receive most of the nutes....

to directly answer your question no it is not NECESSARY to flush but it couldnt hurt...

Thanks smokey.

I am flushing tonight. If in doubt, flush it out.

What's the word on speed of flushing? I am taking it slow and giving them about 2-3 quarts at a time. I have a 4 cup measuring cup that I dump a little on each a few times in a row.
I walk away and then come back and do it all over again. They are in the bath tub and the flush water is in two 18g totes. Just running it thru tonight...drinkin' with the girls!

I am going to pot the up into 4 or 5 gallon buckets tomorrow or Sunday. I just got a new 4x8 hut for flowering.

Planning 3K on a light rail 5. I will start off with 2 x 600w and then as they stretch go to the K's.

I have HPS and MH. I am planning on ending up with a HPS on each end and the MH in the center. Any comments on that approach?

Their first week (tonight), has been under a Sunmaster cool deluxe K (MH). I will get them under the dual 600w HPS in the next few days.

First time going with soil. I have always been a E&F hydro man.

Some people say soil is more forgiving but I like hydro better.

I will be going back soon. In hydro if you have a problem, you can hit the rest button - sort of.

I never flush before i pot up

IMO and with how I do things, I never feed first watering after a pot up, so I want the plant to grab what t can from the existing medium

But that is just how I do it

Transplanting should solve any problems your having, maybe just water there next feeding would be good, after theve been transplanted. more isnt better with all phases of nutrients

I flush between veg and bloom. I place my plants in the bloom room still in their veg containers (9" pots) and run approximately on gallon water through each of them during the next few days before I transplant. I don't flush before finish but I'm beginning to think it might be a good idea. If anyone knows of a good flushing agent or home-brewed concoction I would like to hear about it
