4in or 6in vent help

Hey, im setting up my flowering room and was wondering if a 4inch duct with a 6in vortex fan would be able to cool a 1000w light in a 7x8 foot room or should i do 6inch ducting?

Probably would be fine, but why wouldnt you just use 6in?

A reduction to 4" will seriously reduce your fans effectiveness, while increasing noise and stress on the fan. Stick with the 6.

actually i cool a 1000w MH w 4" no prob.

but the 6 is much better. your hood is 4" so you will reduce? less efficient for sure.
