We have lift off.......

Ok folks 5-6 days have past since the last update. 7 out of 12 have sprouted and are looking healthy :woohoo:

I expect the others to pop soon. Anothor great thing has happened, Im finally working again :jump:

so hopefully I can dedicate more funds to the grow. On anothor note the weather has been getting colder each day witch keeps the grow colder aswell. I also set my timer to 18/6. My plan is to let them veg 2-3 weeks then flower them asap. Heres a couple pics of the sprouts peace :joint:

Nice lookin start you have!

What Kelvin temp are those lights? They look like 2700/3000K from the pics.

A better K temp would be a bluer color like 6500K or 'daylight' cfl's. It will help cut down on stretch and create a denser plant.

Can I ask how close your keeping the tops away from the bulbs?

edit: those 2700 'warm white' cfls will be the best for flowering tho.

and your right on bro there 23 watt 2700k cfls. There about 3-4 in from the top at just the right height. And I understand about getting a higher kelvin temp for vegging, but since Im a cheap ass :pimp3:

I went with the lower kelvin temp since I would be flowering mostly. But my overall goal is to add more cfls so I would idealy end up with a mixed spectrum of both low and high kelvin temp cfls. The sprouts look healthy right now :biglaugh:

so I will use the current cfl setup for a couple more weeks untill the plants are mature then I will hopefully add some higher watt 6500k cfls. peace :joint:

Great looking start yall. Adding some more lumens should definitely be on your agenda. Iv'e grown with the corkscrews and had great lush fast growth with warm whites-what youre using, starting out so i wouldnt sweat the colour spectrum so much, definitely think about adding more lumens though, your gonna need them...
I have also used miracle grow organic soil indoors and before long had a CRAZY gnat explosion, so that might be something else you want to jump on before it gets annoying...Mosquito Dunks in your water will help...
I hope you dont have any problems, just letting you know some of the ones I had before, to "nipem in the bud" if you need to...

Thanks buddy, its funny you mentioned gnats because I noticed a few today. I just plan on hanging those sticky traps or using some neem oil. And what is a mosquito dunk? peace

Ok here we go again its been a day since my last update and the sprouts have been really taking off :abduct:

. I now have 8 sprouts and the other 4 that didnt sprout got a bean put in them to give them anothor chance at life. I will not be adding anymore cups ill keep it at 12 cups. Here you go meet the sprouts :joint:

yup, we are not the first to have probs with those little buggers. MG organic seems particularly "gnaty".
Definitely ERADICATE before they take hold...it will annoy the shit out of you, and they get stuck in buds..YUCK..
sticky traps are good for the adults, before long the traps are covered with them..
Mosquito Dunks you can get at home depot etc. It is a bacteria(safe for humans and pets) that somewhat passively kills larvae. You would have to have them(mosquito dunk) soaking in your water and when you water will administer a dose...
Havnt used neem for this prob.
But get the dunks ASAP, like i said it gets out of control fast..
Also, if you got some extra scratch, get SCANMASK, they are safe all natural Nematodes, and you mix about a teaspoon in your soil per gallon. The nematodes dont just kill gnat larva but over 200 other pests...thats what im using now with perfect results...cost about $20 for a small tub.
Otherwise Gnatrol is BI(another form of mosquito dunks) but is much more pricey and I have heard mixed reviews on this shit, plus its very pricey...

Alright folks its been a couple days since the last update. I used a different camera so things look different just testing but everything is rolling right along all 8 are looking healthy the other 4 have not sprouted yet. Still keeping my timer on 18/6 and watering with just tap water. Will switch to 12/12 in about 14 days or so stay tuned. Heres a couple pics of the little ones and some very potent dense piney herb nug peace :joint:

Plants been looking good, got 2 more sprouts added so that makes 10. The one drawback of cfls is grow time is slow so ill give it a week untill 12/12 anyways everything else is great. I just throw them in the cab in the "closet" water then forget totally stealthed out. Heres the pics of the 10. :santa1:

I start off by saying my last post pics wernt all uploaded on the other hand things in the closet are well the sprouts are looking good and I was lucky enough to be gifted 1 DP powerplant clone. It was rooted in a diy cloner. When I recieved it it was immeidly put in soil so we will see how it goes peace heres a few pics.
