Best strain for chronic pain?

What are folk's experience here with strains for chronic pain? Are some strains better for, say, chronic abdominal pain following multiple surgeries?

Thanks!

Using a 1000W Hortilux Super Blue Dual Arc for flowering and 400W Hortilux MH for veg. Just to make sure that mail gets through before investing a big chunk, went for Cannacopia Bubba's Kush x Deep Chunk, Lapis Mountain, and Chocolatey Chunk. All doing quite well. Feel quite comfortable with Canadian seed companies. Going to check out service from the Single Seed co. next.

Long story short, surgeon did a number on me (unasked) when I went in for an emergency gall bladder procedure in 2003. Noticed undiagnosed intestinal malrotation and went for rearranging my intestinal tract. Had to go in again a month later due to complications; he removed 18" of small intestine and, as an afterthought, the omentum. I have had chronic, unremitting pain originating in the descending colon area since. Surgeon likely damaged a nerve. It's like a RADS type pain that doesn't let up. Been all over for treatments. Current judgment is its in the CNS and there is no cure. They're more than willing to prescribe massive amounts of narcotics, but not marinol (which actually helps more!). So, I'm taking my treatment into my own hands.

Does that lead to any further suggestions on specific strains? At this point, I suspect its going to be more trial and error to find what works for me.

DJ Shorts blueberry has been the best strain that I have found to manage chronic pain, but ya gotta have multiple effective strains, and alternate among them for effective, long term relief. I second the vote for sensi star too, very good pain relief. :joint:

I have found Indicas more helpful for my cronic pain but I like to trade with other growers so I don't get used to one type. Sometimes I even buy some. My favorite is HOG. It is real strong and has a great taste. It does better indoors than out. Are you planning on inside or outside? Let us know how you made out.
