House & Gaden...excessive Calcium!?

I have been loving the H& G Aqua Flakes for a few yrs. Just switched to Bcuzz coco and have had 5 killers crops. But things quickly have gone bad. After calling the company they informed me the H & G line has 10%-11% calcium. At that moment I had a Eureka moment. I have been using declorinated tap water (EC 0.2) and adding Cal Mag at 1tsp per gallon at all times. So I am thinking my problems are caused my excessive calcium. Does anyone else think the products high calcium could be an issue?

I was wondering this same thing actually. While I highly doubt this is the reason for this last crop to have gone poorly considering you had '5 killer crops' previously...you probably changed something without realizing.

I have been supplementing my H&G base nutrients with CalMag as well...but I have been getting some weird signs of lockouts and stuff which could definitely be caused by too much cal. I wonder if it's unnecessary to supplement the H&G line with the standard 5 ml/gallon of CalMag.

Adopted quite a few new strains. I have run my new "Grape Krush" 5 times w/ great results. However, I recently ran some Ak47's and NLxShiva's and they all had problems. I have been growing these strains w/ the same recipe in rockwool and hydroton w/ great results, but in the Bcuzz/perlite mixture they went yellow (lockout mag issues I think). My thinking is that the calcium in the source water and the cal mag combined w/ the high levels already in the Aqua Flakes nutes are locking everything out. I been using the below recipe in hydroton and rockwool for some times w/ great success. This same recipe in coco had been rocking, but lately I have crashed and burned.

Per gal of dechlorinated water:
Base water = 0.2 ec
Sensi Cal Grow 1tsp =
5ml Aqua Flakes A
5 ml Aqua Flakes B

Total Ec = 1.2 pH 5.8-6.0
Hand water to waste w/ lots of run off

some strains can take the cal/mag unlike others, my black domina cut will never lock out but, if i grow my jack cuts they seem not to like excess cal/mag and lock out easy if overfeed with the stuff. h&g has alot cal. being that it is designed for coco and hydro methods of growing. i cut back cal/mag and see if tap and h&g work. .2ec tap water contain a nice amount of calcium as is

I'm having problems with calcium as well running H & G w/ coco. I'm using RO water at a 5.95 ph.

They are in 3 gal pots.
day 13
7.5 ml per gal of a and b
1.1 ml roots exel
.8 ml drip clean
3.8 ml zyme

Do I need more or less cal or mag? I'm lost as to if it is locking out or missing out on it. effecting the leaves quite a bit but the growth rate seems fine.
