New closet grow... (Tiki Seed's "Bella Ciao" & Princess Diesel)

Hey whats up guys...


Starting a new one in the closet, Hopefully this time I will be satisfied in the end.


I will be doing two strains in my closet.

I will be doing a test run with Tiki Seed's "Bella Ciao" and also a run with some Princess Diesel seeds gifted to me from an og buddy. :)

Grow Room Stats:
About 4x5x9 feet...
400 watt Hydrofarm Metal halide lamp w/ Daystar reflector.
T-5 light system with 48 inch Daytime bulbs.

Soil:
Fox farm Original Planting Mix

Nutes: None yet... But in the future plants will be supplemented with light doses of Earthjuice and Fox Farm nutrients.

Strains: Bella Ciao & Princess Diesel


BELLA CIAO (Description from Tiki Seeds)

This strain was specifically developed for beginners.
This cross, of Northern Lights origins,
shows a very fast and excessively generous blooming.
With its regular foliage, its medium size and its large flowers,
this plant is magnificent and rewarding.
Very easy to grow, not very demanding and
adapted to all kinds of grow styles, it must yet be taken seriously,
as it could surprise more than a few experienced growers.

Indica/Sativa : Mostly Indica
IN/OUT : 50/55 days - Beg october
Size : 100/120 cm





Seeds were germinated using the paper towel method. 10/11 of the Bella Ciaos showed white tails within 3-4 days of germination.

The Princess Diesel sprouted 7/9 within 3-4 days.

9/11 of the Bella Ciao popped up out of the soil within 3-5 days of planting.


10/10 of the Princess Diesel popped up within 3-5 days of planting but 4 came up with burnt tips... Which is weird considering all of the other seedlings are healthy so far.

Hey guys... Thanks for checking out the thread! Whats up Wantaknow? :)

I have some new pics... If I could just figure out how to get them from my SD card to my computer. (MY camera cords broke, last time I used my bros phone to transfer. haha)

They are coming along quite nicely... still in their cups but looking good for 2 weeks or so...

not much up here ,just poped some norther lights and ak from femaleseeds hoping for one of those killer phenos or 2 ,looking to do a a new thing with the ebb an grow system i am building ,shure would like to run some urkle x white in that one ,well enough about me ,i will be watching as you progess the trich coverage will be impressive on the pd , hope ya get some killer girls ,peace out bro

I got some shots from today... Right before I watered.

I have 6 healthy Bella Ciaos, And 2 retarded little Bellas... One of them is very retarded as you will see in the pics... Im not really sure why I lost those Bellas and why these two came out kinda retarded... haha (It could have been because I let the soil dry out a bit before I water. But Im not gonna count them out, Ive seen plants start out like this and correct themselves. :)

All 10 of the Princess Diesel are popped up and doing fine.

Transplant time!

I put them into 2 gallon nursery pots with a soil mix consisting of 1/3 FF Original Mix, 1/3 FF Ocean Forest, 1/3 FF Happy Frog, and I also added some perlite in the mix to lighten it up.

My plan is to let them go a couple weeks in here and then to hit flower to keep them small and stocky. I also would like to get maximus light penetration with the lighting im using... I got a new "super" Mh bulb from the hydrostore. It was cheaper than my sunmaster warm deluxe bulb but my warm deluxe was causing stretching so I will be using this bulb for now.

I started flowering 3 days ago using a light cycle of 11/13.

Tallest plants were 12" and the shortest plants were 8" at time of switch.

I have noticed growth has slowed due to cold night temps in the closet.
It has just turned winter here and I dont even use the heat unless it starts getting really cold. Night temps in room could drop to around 60F which will probably make for some tighter, sticker buds, and also make these strains show some nice coloration.

Also, the time will be soon to start looking for these little plants to change sex.
In a week or two, I should be able to tell which of these little plants are males.
Hopefully there will be a low male count. :)

Alright... time for an update guys...

I waited till the soil was nice and almost dry so that the roots could get some oxygen and expand, looking for water.

I then watered yesterday with a light dose of Tiger Bloom. I check them out today and they exploded. In a good way... I should be able to tell their sex soon. :)

KK & IW... Hey thanks for stopping in you two. :)

I went in and spotted a few males today...

I have 4 beautiful males so far... (2 Bella's and 2 Princess) I really dont want to kill them, but have nothing to do with them... so they will die. :(

But good news is that all of the Bella Ciao have shown sex, so minus the two males, I have 5 pretty petite Bella Ciao ladies that all look alike and I cant wait to see how they turn out.

I am sure I will find a few more males in the PD batch within the next week. A few look suspect at the moment. :D

How the hell do you get those close ups like that.. you can see the frikkin hairs n shit... do you have a really good cam or what? lol do you do photography?
