Tar buildup in pipes VS. Tar buildup in lungs

I know it only takes a week or so of heavy smoking to completely clog a small-medium sized pipe, so multiply that by months, years, or decades, and what do you think your lungs look like?

I'm not saying it's going to kill you or give you cancer or anything, but it can't be good to coat your lungs in black gunk.

I think it's why we build up tolerances. The cilia get gunked up and the smoke just can't reach much actual tissue to affect anything.

The mouth and throat are going to be affected too, meaning it's not going to taste or feel the same going down.

I guess I'm going nowhere with this... just sick of people blaming everything on whatever strain they're smoking being 'worse' than the last....

any form of smoking is just real bad , vaping is the key , and even that every day isn't healthy

you build op tolerance for the reason you mentionned but mostly cuz the blood gets saturated with thc at a certain point causing tolerance

agreed smoking sucks but its just too damn good to pass up
least im in the process of quiting cigs.

tolerance from coated lungs? i doubt it but hey ya never know it could possibly attribute to some of the 'lesser high'

but take a cigarette smoker of 20 years (non weed user)
and a non smoker (also non weed user) give them each a bowl of some sour d or somethign i guarantee they're both gonna hit the floor at about the same time

i agree but decreased lung capacity with so many carcinogens over time( plant matter ect) you would get less high from the same hit as a non smoker i think because you would process less

...would have basically no effect. The lungs can't absorb 100% of what you inhale, so you figure that every time you take a hit (smoker or not smoker) you're saturating your lungs w/ THC to the fullest extent (while absorbing say only 70% or w/e of the inhaled THC). How coated your lungs are with tar shouldn't effect tolerance.

Fortunately your lungs have a bit more going for them than your pipe does. There is a layer of mucus generated by specialized cells. Other specialized cells in your airway keep that layer of mucus moving towards the exit. Also you can cough. Anything that gets left behind is attacked by the microphages, more specialized cells that do housekeeping. It isn't a perfect system, but it works better than some isopropyl alchohol and a handful of salt.

Tolerance is a different issue altogether, and happens whether you inhale, inject, or use suppositories.

I don't think it's that bad unless you're a really heavy smoker. I usually cough up black mucous the day after smoking and that lets me know my lungs are cleaning themselves up as opposed to my parents who have smoked tobacco for over 40 years and rarely cough.

i know it would not effect tolerance but it would effect the % absorbed by the lungs ...because that's how it works with oxygen

If it does, I dont want to know about it. Ignorance is bliss, lol.

Its kinda turning my stomach to think about some shit clinging to the inside of my lungs...
