250W Wick System

So here we grow again. I am useing a 250W enhanced spectrum HPS in a small grow cabinet, there is enough room for 6 plants. currently there are 4 in flower switched November 4th to 13 hours on 11 hours off. I'm useing a simple wick system, with the refills going through the soil. in vege they received fish emulsion now they are getting Advanced Nutrients Super Tea for flower. I have one seedling show itself as a female that will be transplanted and put in the flower box tomorow then another in two more weeks, for a theoretical perpetual harvest. Pics will follow but Im useing a new cell phone so I have to figure it out first.

Ok, I have some pictures loaded into my photo album titled November 4th but they are too big for my gallery. A little about the strains, they came in the form of clones from a very generous friend. One is Bananna X OG, another is Agent Orange I'm not sure what the other two are. In vege I have a local strain we are calling Seattle Tacoma Purple from seed and one showed a female 3 have not shown and the male got pulled.

why switch to 13 on 11 off always 12/12 for me

Blackburngrower, thanks for stoping by. I was reading an article in a magazine around the time I switched the lights that said for better bud production try 13on 11off. So I figured what the hay, lets give it a shot. Honestly I usually grow outdoors, so it doesn't sound far fetched, anything less than 14.5 hours should work with most strains. Although I don't have a lot of indoor grows under my belt to compare bud production to. It's all in good fun though, you know.

Never did I think that wick buckets would be so easy. It's almost too easy, water once a week about a gallon a plant. Its more of a hassel waiting for the chlorine to evaporate than anything. Cheap too; a bucket from the dollar store, a tuperware for the reservoir also from the dollar store and a couple feet of nylon rope. My last couple indoor projects were set back due to neglect, so I wanted something more automated without the complications and expences of hydro.

Man I hate screwing up! My light schedule got screwed up pretty bad. Last Friday night my son was jumping on my bed and broke the outlet my cabinet is plugged into. In my haste to get the cabinet plugged in to an outlet that wasn't going to catch fire I accidentally switched the timer to manual. Leaving the light on for 6 days. I just hope they arent stunted too much!

Ok, I had a few troubles but it seems we have moved past those. First I thought I had a pest problem, but it was actually nutrient burn. I fed with an old fermented mix of bananna peel, squash and papaya, I should have known better it smelled like vinegar. I lost a lot of fan leaves, they desicated on the stock. After feeding a fresh aireated tea they bounced back. Also for 6 days one month into flower the timee got switched to manual and they were under 24hours of light. also did not affect them too much, a little stunted but not much.
