What the #$&* is this fuzzy plant.

My mother is screwed up. I planted some seeds from pre 1980 inorder to get some pollen (this is a crapshoot) I wound up with a central american sativa for a pollen donor. I have planted 2 NEW seeds Both plants appear female. One looks a carbon copy of mom. The other is fuzzy it has what appears to be fuzz (velvet) on the leaves. The node legnth is half of the other. It is extremley vigorous and seems to utilize the light better (a bit more than hybred vigor) I will say thast all three have had the same soil light ect.... Can anyone tell me if there are Known fuzzy phenotypes. :pointlaug I am afraid all the other plants will poke fun at the fuzzy one. The breeders forum must Know.

If it looks like white lint on the leaves its powdery mildew. I just had to deal with it.

All ya gotta do is Mix baking soda with water in a spray bottle. Doesn't matter if you use to much baking soda. Spray down the whole plant (it doesn't grow on the underside of the leaves). When it dries it will have a white coting of baking soda. Let that stay on the plant for 2-3 days and just wash off with plain water. It shouldn't effect that plant anymore after that. The baking soda raises the ph of the leaf not allowing the powdery mildew to grow. Make sure you do it at lights out. Some of the leaves may show yellow spots or dried up but won't affect the over all health of the plant. Hope this helps. Peace and *bong*

^^^ Ditto with Devilock. I even use this with roses outside. Get a lot of fog around here and get powdery mildew and rust like crazy on most roses. Spraying 'em down with bicarb water works better than anything, and I've tried all the foliar antifungals. And the fungus doesn't build up a resistance to bicarb... always stops it in it's tracks.

This isn't mildew30-40% RH this is either genetic degradation from the pappa being stored as a seed too long under less than optimal condions or a genetic trait that has presented itself I'll send picts only after she has come to maturity. I have only preflowered her minus clones I took earlier. This fuzz is an integral part of the plant and this plant is healthy (Hybred vigor). What I am asking if there is a fuzzy phenotype. After OG I must admit that I have gotten parinoid. This is legal here but Who wants Uncle sam in there BIZ....I digress..Any who? Here is this Fuzzy short stout plant that has an Afghani X skunky mom and a daddy that is a central american Party animal. The fuzz is dissapearing with maturity. I must admit that Her differences make her beautiful. I have great expectations for her. The inapproiate touching must stop. I love the feel of her leaves against my skin,...her mother was potent with a taste reminissant of blonde middle eastern Hashish and you never had to ask her if she was ready for a party. Her mother always had red stems when she was ready..Back to the original question.. Are there fuzzy phenotypes? I am talking peach fuzzy not disease fuzzy. Thanks fo the assist. PAX

Just to finish this thread i will add that this pheno has a genetic defect that prevents the leaves from maturing properly the leaves at best are small, and at worst are fragile. Damage from light even cfl,s at a few inches. Normal temps and humidities are untolerable to this plant. I have a good mind to kill this thing and her parents. I have destroyed this plant.

Oh my thanks for pointing that out, even though I spent ages searching for a thread about fuzzy plants and this one was right at the very end it never crossed my mind that it might be an old one. No wait I'm lying, obviously I knew it was old. Most likely you guys are the same types who would complain about someone starting a new thread to show pics of a fuzzy plant too, must be nice having such a big mouth yet saying so little. So anyway thanks for your contribution and all the nice photos in your galleries, thank you very much.

Yeah so, peaches is a good idea thanks :D anyone else find fuzzy plants like this? This is one of the SSH f2s btw.

Im surprised you have not received a firm answer yet!! CLEARLY its a Flick pheno from the I,Libertine line of genetics, by breeder Frederick R. Ewing.

Very popular breed during the 1960's in Greenwich Village NYC.
