hehehe

my test light arrived today!!!

THANK YOU LEDGIRL!!!

i could not contain myself, so i went down and set it up!

i have 5 plants close to being done...i unplugged the 400 watt HPS and moved it up out of the way, and plugged this one in its place.

took some more pix:

when these finish, i will start my test thread separately.

i am not trying to mislead anyone, the above posted plants were flowered under 400 watts of HPS.

please don't start any BS here.:nanana:

thank you.

So if there is 0% Green light how in the heck do your plants look green to you LED Girll?

it appears as if there is a few white LED s on this thing is this true? is this enough for you to see Green ?

im not hatin seriously!

my understanding is that when the perfect lvls of red and blue are reached the plants should look Black due to no Green light.

So you can understand my need for some clarification

This I will be following. I'm looking to upgrade a cab and will be putting in cfl's...but I have always wanted to try LED....and I think this upgrade might also prepare for something like this to be added just after the FatMan Rides Again!.:)
When you do start a thread with these things, could you please give some info and opinions on hanging/mounting/clearance space etc...or @ least enough info that we may [argue;)] discuss it between ourselves...:)
Does it have much of a 'burn in' smell? Is there a 'burn in' time upon first startup? Is the light immediate or does it have to 'build' like bulb lights?
I am startled by the difference in flower and foliage colour under the LED lamp. The difference is disconcerting @first. But Way Cool:)

Is there a UV option or addition available?

These are just some of the many questions that fill me @the moment.

I look forward to your grows...good times, good buds & good luck.

Awesome! I'm subscribed. Are those clones that you are flowering now? If so, could you compare that same plant you have grown before under the HPS with these. I'm interested to see if LEDs enhance potency and/or flavor and aroma.

The units are 3.5" thick, and need 2" of air space above them for the fans to operate well. Hanging/Mounting can be done in any position, even up-side-down. I recommend to use the units at 6-12" from your canopy, and obviously the closer the better. The lights will naturally grow short and bushy plants, but if you want a stretch, simply use it at 9-12" above them.

No burn-in smell, no build times. Flip the switch, and within 2 seconds you have 100% intensity. The color difference in photographs is different than what you see with your eyes. When inside the garden, your plants will still appear a beautiful green color to you.

No, we don't offer UV currently. Many companies sell the gimmick of UV in their lights, using 390-420nm LED's. While it is true that this is UV in range, it doesn't have any positive effect on MJ. MJ needs 285-315nm UV, which costs about $90 per 1W LED!!! So for now if you want UV supplementation, I'd recommend a cheap $10 one from a number of online retailers.

so watt for watt do ya think they can out produce hps? or increase taste potency?or both? sorry for all the questions? good luck with th addition to the closet.. peace

Watt for Watt, our LED's will destroy a HPS. A HPS doesn't have anywhere near the amount of photosynthetically active light that our units do, even at 2x the watts.

Not sure which 180W you got, but if you look in this forum you will see another user who is currently testing our 126W against a 180W UFO from a major competitor. Our light is currently dominating the competition ;)

thanks ledgirl not doubtting you but am a lil unsure. thought the side by test on the link was crazy and awesome no one said gettin set up with good gear was cheap. my main question is the biggest light on your site was compared to a 1000 watt light but only had a foot print at best or 2 x 4 . thats a lot of 1100 dollars lights for somone looking to get a bigger footprint hince more plants?

People are going to have to start re-assessing the way they grow plants. I know a lot of people right now who use HUGE areas to grow in, instead of concentrating on maximizing their yields. For most, gardening has nothing to do with space, it simply has to do with yield. For example, if you're currently using a 1000W HPS over a 4' x 4' area, and you yield 1.5lbs, why would you need more space if you could yield the same amount with our 318W in a 2' x 4' area? If instead of yielding 4 ounces a plant and having 4 plants in an area, why not yield 8 ounces a plant on two plants?

So while our 318W does not match the footprint of a 1000W HID (although 1000W of LED easily achieves the same footprint), it will still give you comparable yields. For most, this means they don't have to work so hard, with so many plants, over such a big area in order to get the results they're after. For others, it simply means that you now have a way to double the yields of your current space, by packing in LED lighting.
